As a personal trainer, I am often asked the question by women: "is there any way I can increase my bust size in the gym or at home - I want breast enhancement" The simple answer is yes but first it's important to explain a little bit about your breast make-up so you can understand how exercise will work to provide you with more confidence.
Your breasts are made up of both glandular tissue and fat. As you develop in age, fat becomes a more prominent part of its makeup, especially after the birth of a first child which then the infamous downward movement starts to occur. Because the breast is made up of fat, losing weight will often have an affect on breast size, what a vicious cycle!
So what's the solution if you're not looking for implants and want to keep things more natural. Did you know that training in the gym can assist to increase your busy size and increase your confidence levels.
Exercising with weights is the answer when performed correctly. While building up muscle in the upper body area (pectorals) will not increase breast size, developing these muscles will bring out the appearance of a bigger bust.
Of course, a lot of women steer well clear of weights, expecting to get 'huge muscles' but due to testosterone levels, generally women will not generate the kind of muscle like most men, however it is very important for body-shaping that women avoind working with cardio machines all th time.
You should always work with weights that after 10-12 repetitions your muscles are become exausted. Perform three to four sets of the following exercises.
Bench Press, Press Up, Incline Dumbbell Press, Dumbbell Flies, Incline Dumbbell Flies
By working on an incline, this works the upper part of the chest which will provide bust enhancement.
It's also worth noting that while developing the chest muscles will prove beneficial it's also important to work the muscles in the back to ensure correct posture and symmetry. Again, three to four sets of 10-12 repetitions.
Bent Over Row, Seated Row, Dead-Lift
So, head down to the gym or buy a set of dumbbells and a barbell and you're ready to get going. Not only will you be able to shape the top part of your chest but you'll also be able to develop tone in other areas of your body - women training with weight is a must!

QUESTION:
i want to have a breast uplift surgery, what its the cheapest but safest way of doing this?
i am 18 years old and have size 34 f breasts, i have lost alot of weight and this has caused them to go south. its making me extremely depressed, i cant even get naked infront of my long term boyfriend anymore. i have tried going to the gym and after 6 months with a personal trainer still nothing has happened. i live south east kent and i want to find a clean safe cheap surgery to get the breast uplift. any help or advice would be very appriciated.-
ANSWER:
Don't choose a surgeon based on price! Discuss this with your primary physician; insurance may pay for your surgery because of the strain to your back or constant rashes or skin infections beneath your breasts. Breast reduction isn't always considered medically necessary, but an F cup is very large especially for a size 34.

QUESTION:
Does a breast uplift involve repositioning your nipples?
also do you have to have implants with it or can you have it without. Is it best to wait until after you have had children?-
ANSWER:
In most cases it does involve repositioning the nipple - however a minimal lift can be accomplished by only removing a crescent of tissue and excising on one side of the nipple (google Benelli lift). For a more drastic lift, the surgeon tries to preserve the areolar complex as much as possible. You can have it without implants.Best to do after having children, as the process of expansion/contraction because of lactation may produce more sagging.

QUESTION:
has anyone had breast uplift and enlargement?
im gettin this surgery done from transform im going under he knife on march 6th and i was looking for anyone who has had it tolet me know what im expecting! the pain, what i can do and cant do after it etc. and is it worth it! any problems?-
ANSWER:
Hello Charlie A.I am a plastic surgeon in Utah, http://www.yorkyates.com, and came across your question. I would be very skeptical about any cream or pill claiming breast enlargement or tightening. They make fabulous claims but at this point there is no evidence that there would be any improvement whatsoever. Also, make sure that your surgeon in a board certified plastic surgeon (by the American Board of Plastic Surgery). You can check at http://www.abplsurg.org.
Ask your doctor about your restrictions but generally you feel a little lousy for about a week. I do not let patients return to the gym for 6 weeks except light exercise. The biggest problem with a lift and implants at the same time is the scar. Generally this is not nearly as hidden or small as the scar from implants alone and is often a little wide due to the opposite direction of pull from the implant and lift.

QUESTION:
breast uplift/enlargement and breastfeeding?
I have fairly large breasts but my mum never got me a bra when I was a teenager so now they are quite saggy and I hate them. I am breastfeeding my daughter, and want to breastfeed future children. Is there an uplift/enlargement procedure you can have yet still definitely breastfeed? Or do I need to wait until i've had all of my babies?-
ANSWER:
You would be better waiting untill you have finished having children, there is a procedure they can do now where they enlarge from behind your breast tissue so you are still able to feed but for the best results wait!

QUESTION:
Has anybody breastfed after having breast implants and an uplift?
I had the surgery 4 years ago, i am now 4 months pregnant and would love to breastfeed again as i did with my first child who is now 7 but i am unsure whether i will be able to?-
ANSWER:
It's likely, but it depends on the kind of surgery you had. Incisions made under the fold of the breast or through the armpit shouldn't cause any trouble. The most popular method, making a "smile" incision around the areola, puts you at greater risk for problems. If the nerves around the areola were not cut or damaged during surgery, you may be able to nurse fully or partially. Nerves are vital to breastfeeding because they trigger the brain to release prolactin and oxytocin, two hormones that affect milk production. Your chances of breastfeeding also improve if your milk duct system is intact.
There's no evidence that silicone from silicone implants leaks into breast milk, but even if it did, it probably wouldn't harm your baby. Silicone is very similar to a substance used to treat babies' stomach gas.

Im going to be having a breast uplift and i have an appointment with my surgeon. She has asked me to buy a non underwired bra that comes up quite high to take some sort of measurements. Does anyone know exactly one kind of bra it is..im soooo confused-
ANSWER:
You should probably clarify with your surgeon but it sounds like she just wants to you to wear a full-coverage soft cup bra that doesn't reshape you too much like some demi-cup or push-up bras do. You can search any lingerie site for a "full coverage soft cup" bra but if you don't know where to start, here is one I use regularly:www.freshpair.com

QUESTION:
Breast Uplift? Pro's & Con's?
i am thinking about having an uplift. has anyone had the operation and can give me any advice. at 23 i am young to be wanting one, but my breasts are sagging and feel very down and concious about it. am i too young to have it done on NHS?-
ANSWER:
Pros: Could look good
You say would make you feel betterCons: Could go wrong
Could leave you with psychological trauma
Will hurt
Will probably need to be redone and replaced later
High costsThat is my opinion on pros and cons. Obviously you will have much more items in the pros list, dependant on your reasons for getting the operation done.
The question is whether the heaviness of the pros outweigh the cons for you.You may be able to have it done on the NHS if it is considered important to your health - mental of physical. If it is making you very upset, depressed, or stunting you socially they might consider it.
It will depend on your case, your doctor and your area.
The first thing to do would be to visit your doctor and ask them this question.Next is why you are wanting to get the operation done.
If it is for purely cosmetic reasons, perhaps you should be thinking more about the long-term affects of it.
If you genuinely feel that the uplift if the right way to go after thinking about your motives and you are unhappy to an extent that everything else you have tried has failed, then maybe this is the solution. With questions like this, there is no yes or no answer.
It will depend on how deeply you feel this is affecting your life and how much you want this done.Either way, good luck with your decision and make sure you seek advice, both from a professional and from people you trust to get a range of opinions and to help you think about it.
However, in the end this is your decision, dont let anyone else make it for you. Not friends, family or society.I'm sure you'll make up your mind yourself.
Good luck x

i'm seriously considering having my breasts uplifted, ive had 3 children and since this gravity has got the best of my poor chest, it sags and i despise my boobs and want surgery to improve the appearance of them and boost my confidence about them....i was wondering if having them done changes the size of them at all and if so how??do they get bigger or smaller etc, as im a D cup now and dont want to go any smaller.
also does anyone know of any good surgeons in the uk and price wise what am i looking at????
-
ANSWER:
I'm not in the UK, so I don't know about surgeons or prices
But, do see several surgeons before you decide on one. Get a realistic idea of what a breast lift and/or augmentation can do for you. Sometimes you need implants to give you the look you want, sometimes not.
Good luck

Breast uplift on the N.H.S?
I had a referral from your GP for a breast uplife but cant find anybody to do it for me, i live in merseyside does anybody know a surgen who would do it for me-
ANSWER:
Im sorry but this doesnt make sense. You say the GP has referred you, but no one will do it? Well, when a GP refers someone it means they write a letter to the hospital and the process of bringing you in for surgery. I cant see him advising you to have an uplift done on the NHS, seems a bit pointless to me when there arent enough nurses to cope with the REAL sick people

QUESTION:
how to uplift a sagging breast without surgery?
any effective methods apart from those creams and sprays that can help in liftin the breast i know that chest exercises can help but i want some other propositions-
ANSWER:
the problem with sagging breasts is that there is too much skin, and as we age, our skin elasticity fades. if you are thinking about something specific, such as an evening dress that you cannot wear a bra with, usually you can ask a seamstress to sew special underwire cups into your gown to help support you. if you are just concerned about your aging body, i'm sorry but there's nothing you can do about it naturally.

QUESTION:
Breast Uplift - mastopexy?
I am 20yrs old and have saggy breasts (well droopy).size 34 F. I am seeing a plastic surgeon for my first consultation tomorrow, I have a lot of questions etc. But i've not started a family yet, and not planning on having one for a good few years yet. But Its a lot of money a breast lift, and I am worried that when/if I do become pregnant will it ruin my new breasts? Has anyone had this op and then become pregnant how did it affect them? I thought about waiting until I've had a family but if I want 2/3 children I could be well in to my 30's. I want to enjoy them now, when I can wear nice dresses and clothes. Ive never been able to wear things without a bra because they just hang down so low, and theres a big difference in size. But I don't want to go through all of that spend thousands of pounds then think why did I get them done. Any info anyone can give me about anything to do with a breast lift or reduction or anything really lol, would be much appreciated. Thanks guys,
Charley x-
ANSWER:
You should get a reduction with the lift, which would be covered by insurance. If your PS is charging you on the side for the lift, and not the reduction, find another PS because 99.9% include the lift with the reduction (covered by insurance). The .1% who don't you need to run away from.A reduction with lift can be covered by insurance.

QUESTION:
has any one had a breast uplift let me know about the pain after?-
ANSWER:
Get your breast lift surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery (including facelift/ breast enhancement tummy tuck./lipo) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .
My cousin got her cosmetic surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results.sHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. .hope this helps.I think she paid only 8000$ for the tummy tuck and breast implant surgery for which she was quoted 18000 $ in USA.

QUESTION:
Have any of you been able to have a breast uplift on the nhs following numerous pregnancies?
I have always had a problem with my breasts before my first child was born. I have recently had my fourth and final baby bear and am still currently breast feeding. The impact of 4 children has made my breasts incredibely saggy and i really lack self confidence and get very depressed about them, I have a doctors appointment this afternoon to discuss my insecurities and i do have back up from my mental health worker but im very aware that the chances of having it done are very few and far between.
Have any of you been taken seriously and been fortunate to have the operation?
Did it change your view of yourself?
Have you been happier since etc? Thanks for any answers in advance
-
ANSWER:
I'd like a breast lift as well, but I wouldn't expect the NHS pay for it. They are stretched tight enough as it is (NHS, not my boobs...) and there are much more deserving people that need operations. Ya know, people with cancer, fibroids, appendicitis....I think saggy boobs ranks pretty low on the scale. As it should. If it is that horrible, save up your own money to have it done. That's what I'm doing.I think that the only way that the NHS would pay for a breast reduction/lift is if your boobs were much too big in proportion to your weight. Like if you were 5'2, weighed 8 stone, and had size E breasts, which would cause someone serious back problems. Other than that, I don' think they'd do it.
PS You should also look at 'after' pictures if you are going to have this done. The surgeries do reduce the sagginess, but they also usually leave significant scarring, so that might affect your confidence as well.

Questions for moms, especially for those who have had a breast uplift?
I am just a teen and I hate my breasts, they sag a lot but I am worried that if i do go for a breast lift, when I am older and have children I wont be able to breastfeed, is it true that milk ducts are cut off so it's impossible to breastfeed? and if it's not, then how much do boobs sag after breast feeding when you've had surgery? Please help!! I am just worried if my decision will be bad for the future.
Thank you so much.-

I would definitely wait til AFTER you have kids to get your breasts done. Pregnancy and breastfeeding ruin your boobs.

QUESTION:
help with breast uplift"naturally"?
help, i noticed that my breasts' origin is down "which i think genetically, buying a bra is a diaster to me to get the one that lift them up and i don't get the same results, now i was thinking about push up bras but they have a cleavage(as they r made for showing)which i don't want to avoid them vibrating, what should i do, btw im only 20
that anoys me too when buying clothes when my breasts are where they are not supposed to be
i nmean i need a bra that push them really up and still have no cleavage, where can i get it?-
ANSWER:
I found a very interesting article that may really help you,. For the exercises described below, you may look up videos on Youtube, to see how the exercises are done. Here's an excerpt:A natural breast lift
After two childbirths, after breastfeeding, after more than 3 decades of gravity, Crystal Thompson, 37, of Fort Washington, Maryland, badly needed a breast lift.
But instead of a consulting a surgeon, Crystal began lifting weights. And 6 months later she didn't need a breast lift after all.
She started on an abbreviated total-body workout program, focusing on two exercises-the bench press and dumbbell flies. These exercises work the muscles supporting the breasts, not the breasts themselves, which are primarily fat and glands. Working the surrounding pectoralis muscles can help lift up the breast tissue, which is especially important for full-breasted women like Crystal.
But chest exercises can also help women with smaller bosoms improve the appearance of their breasts. When you diet to lose weight, the breasts lose fatty tissue, so they grow smaller. By building up the surrounding pectoralis muscles, you create the illusion of cleavage and fullness.
To do bench presses, lie flat on a bench with your knees bent and feet flat on the bench. (If you have trouble keeping your balance, you can put both feet flat on the floor.) Hold a dumbbell in each hand, palms forward, with your arms held at a 90-degree angle from your chest-that is, arms straight up. Lower the dumbbells to your chest. Try not to let them wobble as you lower them as far as you can. Then return to the starting position and repeat.
To do dumbbell flies, lie on a bench with your knees bent and feet on the bench. Hold the dumbbells above your chest, with your palms facing each other and elbows slightly bent. Lower the weights as you move them out to the side of your body in a wide arc as far as you can. Keep your palms facing each other and elbows slightly bent to reduce stress on the shoulders. Once you have reached the maximum stretch, arc the weights back to the starting position, as if you were giving someone a huge bear hug. Then repeat.
Also, as for training bras, I advice you the following: Try going to the girls' section of a clothing store and get yourself one of those bras made for teenagers ages 10-12 (size 10-12) or a smaller size if it fits you loose, one of those that looks like a half-sized boy's T-shirt. It has to be very tight, so it fits you very tightly just under the breasts. that will keep your breasts up and perky all the time, and with your chest exercises, little by little your breasts will shape into their new, perky and nice-looking shape.
Use the same criteria as above to get your sports bras for your chest training sessions: Very tight, so it keeps your breasts lifted all the time. You may even use it to go to sleep.
A friend of mine does all of the things suggested above and now she got herself a "natural breast lift" without a surgeon. But I gotta tell you, she really loves to exercise and staying in shape (eating well, lots of vegetables and lean meats, no junk food, etc.), and that really helps a lot.
Good luck!

I am just so depressed my boobs have drooped since having my first child 10months ago!, i am only 22 and my boobs are right down to my belly! and my nipples! thats how bad it is and i already suffer with depression which makes it even worse!. In this day in age no bloke is going to be with a girl with breasts like this! i hide under a coat even in this weather!!. D o you think the NHS would do it? as i am a single mum on income support. No nasty comments please!
thanks for your answers much appreciated x-
ANSWER:
Although I can appreciate how depressing it might be for you, there is no way the NHS would pay for this sort of cosmetic surgery. It doesn't look as bad as you think and remember this is normal. Most celebs you see have had surgery. Being normal is nice and attractive too remember.

QUESTION:
I think I might need a breast uplift...?
I'm a 22 year old woman. I have always had large breasts and over the past 4 years they have really started to droop. I have recently lost 50 pounds in a bid to get healthy and thought it might help but now they're worse than ever... My nipples point downwards and I can't stand looking at myself in the mirror.
I've read into surgery and the procedure sounds quite awful. Aside from that, I can't afford it. However the thought of having breasts like this is quite honestly ruining my life. It affects what I wear and I can't even let guys touch me anymore. I cannot look in the mirror. I struggle to find a decent bra...Someone help me... I need all the advice I can get.

QUESTION:
Any way to reduce scarring after breast surgery?
Im 18 and 38FF cup and i really despise my chest [medical reasons, bad back at 18, clothes don't fit, unwanted attention, lost alot of weight so they don't look good etc] when im older and have more money i want to get a breast reduction/uplift.
I have seen before and after photos of this surgery and the scarring is pretty bad looking, is there a way to correct it after the surgery or have any treatment to reduce scarring or would i just have to wait a couple of years for it to fade?[I am aware of the risks, i have talked to parents, bf, doctors etc about the decision to have the surgery in the first place and im not asking about that and not looking for the 'be happy with your body' comments, anyone who has any helpful info i would really really appreciate it, thanks =) ]
I live in northern Ireland and i don't have any insurance to cover it due to the free health care on the NHS i know i can get it there if i meet certain requirements but i think i have to be over a certain age which i'm not at the minute.-
ANSWER:
Hi there!!
I had a breast reduction surgery 3 years ago and went from a 40G to a 36C. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself! The change in activity level and self confidence is amazing. I'm a totally different person.Your insurance may pay for it if you're having back problems...I had BCBS and they did.
Most of the before and after pics you see are taken pretty soon after the surgery before the scars have healed all the way which can take a year or more. I have a tendency to scar easily but my breast scars now are barely noticable. Vitamin E rub will help only if you're very consistant in applying it over the course of several months or longer. (I never had the discipline to apply it every day)
Very good luck to you.

QUESTION:
what do u think i shud have my breast uplift now or later...?
i have saved money to get some surgery after i had my daughter some years ago. now i really want to improve my body but would also love to have more children but i am so depressed about my body i dont know wat to do. will it be a waste of money to have surgery now and then again in a year or 2?-
ANSWER:
If you plan on having more children it seems to be more appropriate to have your children and then if you still want to have surgery go ahead. You should never be depressed about your body, instead focus on the beautiful daughter you have instead of yourself. As long as you dress well you can hide most of what you don't like. Use uplift wired bras to help your breasts. It's really not what you look like on the outside but what you are like on the inside. I have had breast cancer twice, and I would never have found it had I had breast surgery. Then I would be dead because cancer would have spread. Think about that before you waste your money.

QUESTION:
Does anyone know if i can get breast enlargement/uplift on the nhs.?
I have always had different sized breasts however over the last few years it has became more prominent. I went to my doctor when i was younger and he told me that i was to go back at 18 if things handt sorted themselves out.. which they have not. I have at least a 2 size difference between my breasts. One is a DD and the other is at least an F. This has always caused me embarassment and made me extremely self concious. i cannot find any bras to fit me properly unless i go and get them made for me which costs a lot of money and i do not like wearing any clothes which show of " my difference". I feel that this effects me mentally and was just wondering if i would ever be able to have this problem resolved on the NHS, although my boyfriend says i do not need this done to please him i feel that in order to accept my body i need to have this surgery but cannot afford it on the NHS. Can any one help? any information would be gratefully recieved. Tara 19 years old... Cumbria-
ANSWER:
Yes you will probably be able to get treatment on the NHS to even them up;

QUESTION:
my girlfreimd is going to have an uplift?
my girlfreind is going to have a breast uplift because her boobs are sagging after having our kids, has any one had this done what should she expect does it hurt afterwards is it worth it?-
ANSWER:
I had a reduction/lift 2 years ago and yes, it hurt. I was off work for 2 weeks and couldn't lift anything over a few pounds. I was black and blue and had stitches that looked gross. I also had sharp pains, almost like needles poking me every once in a while. This is normal and it's basically the nerves re'growing. Initially the breasts will be very high on her chest and kind of hard, but as gravity does its work they'll fall into their natural place on her body. Mine took about 6 months before they looked "normal" again. I still have scars but they are very faint and flat. You wouldn't even be able to notice unless you were looking for them.

QUESTION:
Best breast uplifting cream?
For years i have been a bit depressed about my drooping boobs. And I'm only 16, i always question why my breasts prefer to face my toes that what's in front of them (haha).
But anyhoo. Does anyone have a breast firming&uplifting cream to recommend?-
ANSWER:
I hate that you are so hard on yourself! You're so young so please just be positive
With that out of the way- My best friend in high school had this same problem. She was a tiny girl but had a very large chest. Certain insurances will actually cover having your breasts lifted because this isn't normal to have this problem at such an early age. There are certain requirements and one of them is nipples facing towards the ground. Talk to your mom or your doctor and see what they have to say. If you decide to go natural make sure that you accept yourself. Life is too short to worry about what other people think of you! Take care
