  Although I went for a 36C to a 38DD I don't think that the size has anything to do with the supply. Your baby is still young and your body is still getting use to breastfeeding. It may take a few more weeks for your supply to fully come in. Also, once your baby girl gets use to breastfeeding and gets on a schedule with feeding, your body will change to accommodate her schedule. You will start to notice when it is time for her to eat even before she cries. Good Luck!!

For a while I've been trying to figure out how bust sizes are determined, but I think I've been looking in the wrong places. I've decided to take my quest to plastic surgeons, because they work in this field. Specifically those who do breast augmentation.

How do breast augmentation surgeons (or anyone involved with breat augmentation) determine the cup sizes? If someone came in asking for a 36C cup augmentation, how would you know what it looked like? If someone came in with a picture of how they want them to look, would you be able to name it?
EDIT: Romantic Angel, what I'm trying to figure out is, how do surgeons determine what the bra size is? Sure they can tell what a person's current bra size is, but if a person walks in with a 30AA and wants to be upgraded to a 36C, how do they know how big to make them?   Just about every woman has one breast which is bigger than the other. When I had my augmentation 7 years ago, my left breast needed 330 CCs and my right 365 CCs.
  
  After the surgery you have swelling but both breasts should be very close to the same size. If you can see a significant difference? Your plastic surgeon, to put it bluntly, screwed up.
  
  You should have been told at your last consultation how many CCs were needed in each breast in order to balance them.
  
  I would not wait a week. Call the office & tell them what is going on & get in there sooner. The implant MAY be leaking. If so, I think it needs to be removed very soon. It is either that or the surgeon did not do the right job.

Often the term 'bust measurement' is used to describe the measurement around your chest, across the fullest part (so, usually, around your body and over your nipples). Breast size is not a measurement that has a lot of meaning really, whereas bra size is the size of bra that will fit a person. Bra size is made up of two components, band size (the number) and cup size (the letter). So I suppose you could say that the cup size is literally the breast size (the band size is a function of the measurement around your body, directly under your breasts).

  It is fine to just do nothing, but if the lopsidedness is bothering you, you can try to increase milk supply on the smaller side to increase the supply/breast size/milk flow on that side. Be careful, though, not to neglect the larger producing breast too much and allow too much backup of milk in that breast, because that may make you vulnerable to plugged ducts and mastitis.
  
  Here are some things that can help to even things up (you don't need to do them all; start off with the one thing that looks most workable for you):
  
  * Start baby on the smaller side for each feeding for a few days (baby usually nurses more vigorously on the first breast offered).
  * Nurse on the smaller side twice as often. For instance if you nurse on one side per feeding, you might nurse on the small side for two feedings, the larger side for one, then back to the smaller side for the next two feedings, etc.
  * Pump the smaller side for 5-10 minutes after some feedings.
  * Add an extra pumping session (for 10-20 minutes - smaller side only) in between feedings.
