Until recently, most patients never discussed profile with their plastic surgeons. If you chose a certain size implant, you would receive a determined amount of forward projection from that size implant. Now, you can choose an implant size and, if you like, have that size implant stick out more, or less than the base diameter would usually dictate. This works well for certain body types.
For a woman with a very narrow frame, a moderate or low profile implant that might result in a desired size, may be too wide and carry the implant too far to the cleavage and underarm. By using a high profile implant, this patient can get the larger implant she desires. By the same token, a wide framed patient may find that in order to adequately cover the natural diameter of their breast size, the desired implant would have far too much projection. A low or moderate profile might work better.
Moderate Profile Implants. This breast implant profile is the "normal" profile.
High Profile Implants. These breast implants have more projection per measurement of base diameter than a moderate profile breast implant. An added benefit of the high profile is that in order to create the profile, the side wall of the implant has more height, which may reduce visible rippling.
Low Profile Implants. These breast implants have less projection per measurement of base diameter than a moderate profile breast implant.
Moderate Plus Profile. Mentor's breast implant line (both saline and silicone) also includes this profile which is between moderate and high profile.
Years of training and experience go into making sure that the implant chosen meets dozens of other criteria that a plastic surgeon knows a lot more about than you. You should also find out about what warranty coverage you have.

QUESTION:
Breast implant removal what happens to your natural breast after removal ? no smart ass answers please?
I was a natural C before surgery, will my natural breast be the same size. and will I need a breast lift ?-
ANSWER:
Implants stretch your skin, a lot actually. So when you remove the implants you are going to be deflated looking and probably saggy (not trying to be rude, I just couldn't think of other words!) So yes, you will probably need a lift.

QUESTION:
Breast implant removal surgery? WOMEN or DOCTORS only?
In a book I'm reading, there is a lady in her 50s who just found out her implants are leaking. She is going to have surgery (3 hours) to remove them, obviously. This got me to thinking..How dangerous is breast implant removal surgery? Is the death rate high? Any complications likely?
Thank you for answering a curious poster!!
I think they were leaking silicone.. Hmm. I dont really remember lol-
ANSWER:
implant removal is a fairly safe procedure in and of itself, and I don't know that any woman has died from the procedure. The danger is in the implants themselves, depending on what they were filled with, either sillicone or normal saline. Sillicone has been known to cause severe illnesses and even death. The worst complication to this surgery is the risk of infection, and the change in self image.

QUESTION:
after breast implant removal did you have dents in the breast tissuee and did they straighten out?-
ANSWER:
Hello,This depends upon how much breast tissue there is there and whether or not it may sag. Some women choose to have a breast lift or reduction with the implant removal (when there is a lot of tissue there.) Few women actually get a "dent" and most of those are mild unless the patient is a breast cancer patient and/or has had a mastectomy before those implants.

QUESTION:
Breast Implant Removal?
I had implants put in 8 months ago and ended up with a capsular contracture in one breast. I constantly feel tightness and uncomfortableness because of excessive scar tissue. Also, I was under the impression that I was going to end up with a large C cup after surgery (started out as a small B) and instead, have been left with a large D cup. On my 5'0 frame, they just aren't working for me and I'm no longer comfortable with such a large chest. Simply put, I just want my old body back. Could you please give me some information about implant removal? Cost, down time, etc. Also, I have heard quite a bit how breast implant removal can cause psychological effects. This worries me. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated!-
ANSWER:
The cost to remove implants can vary from surgeon to surgeon and also the hospital where the surgeon does his surgeries.I have the link to a site that could help you find even more information. The link is at:

QUESTION:
breast implant removal?
i just had breast implant for a week, but there are some problem. i'm thinking of removing it, Will it be normal again? or i will have saggy breast? it won't feel normal like before?-
ANSWER:
There are many reasons why one would have their implants removed. Statistically speaking, on an average of 3% of all breast augmentations will have the implants removed. Truthfully, only a handful of these removals are done due to leaking of the implant. Most of the implant removal procedures are done after the patients decides that having them put in was a bad idea or the size they chose was incorrect. In these situations, the woman would have the implants replaced rather than completely removed.Other reasons women have their implants remove include sagging, wrinkling of the implant itself which becomes visible, possible infections as well as health concerns and hematoma. In the event that you incur breast cancer, you may also decide to have the implants removed as a means to prevent leaking caused by the mammogram.
During the procedure itself, the surgeon may opt one of two ways for the removal which include removing the implant via the areola or from under the fold of the breasts. In most cases, where the implant is saline based, the surgeon will cut the capsule and deflate the implant before removal. However, if the implant is silicon, the surgery is more complicated due to the fact that the implant needs to be inspected prior to removal as well as it needs to be removed fully inflated.
In the event that the implant will not be replaced, the plastic surgeon will have to remove the capsule as well. This capsule is the scar tissue that was formed during the initial procedure and in the event that it needs to be removed, it will be carefully cut from its place unless it happens to be attached to the chest cavity.
For some women, having the implants removed, even if they are only a single cup increase may cause emotional duress similar to that of a full mastectomy. Although having implants put in does not usually cause emotional stress, it will always take some time getting use to the loss of the masses that where located in your chest. Always consult with your doctor prior to any decision which involves the removal of your implants except in cases that may be considered life threatening.

QUESTION:
For Mature Adult Men Only- Breast Implant Removal?
I recently had my breast implants removed which I am happy I did however I now look hideous. I just want a mans take on it, since I am married but don't expect a "true" reaction from my husband. He will be reassuring etc but how would he really feel? I'm an attractive gal however now I have no breast tissue at all, just nipples and two scars
I need a mans honest perspective since they are driven by physical beauty. Can a man truly stay faithful or want to be with someone who has no breasts?
FYI- The only reason I had them placed originally was due to a breast deformity, not to get really big and want attention. But I don't know about long term health problems so I had them removed.
I have had them in for 12 years and they say there are health concerns regarding the silicone shell the saline is in.-
ANSWER:
Katie,If a mean really loves you and is in love with you, He will ALWAYS love you regardless. When there is true love it is more then physical looks, but the idea of having a companion for the journey called life.
To tell you the truth, you offer so much more then just your physical form, and if he truly loves you he will love you with them or with out.

Wanna see some lindsay lohan breast implant proof?
http://defamer.com/hollywood/gossip/lindsay-lohan-shake-it-like-a-possibly-inebriated-white-girl-19890.php
i shouldn't even have to say anything but breasts aren't supposed to be eight inches tall and touching your collarbone when you raise your arms. i wonder how many hospital stays were actually for breast implant removal/replacement. and these pics are from when she was 17. btw, she has always denied having breast implants. i think her three month bulimia thing was actually a cover up for having her implants replaced. ppl always have problems with their implants. she would be a whole different lindsay if she had never gotten a fake rack. and she wouldn't be number 1 on maxim's list either.
p.s. if you don't wanna see, choose another question vegas. you idiot.
thats a good thought jamie but since her breasts are the only thing in the air (i.e. you don't see her hair bouncing) you're wrong. plus there a video too and she 's just bobbing her head around and standing still.-

Can a person with breast implants get a laparoscope gallbladder removal?
Is there anyone who has breast implants and got a laparoscope gallbladder removal? I just wanted to know if they can still get that type surgery without any problems. I know that there are two types of gallbladder removals and heard that the laparoscope is a much better surgery but not everyone qualifies to get it. If there is anyone in the medical field or knows or is someone who has had it I would appreciate it to know. Thanks-

Yes you can, but of course you need to tell the doctor about them. The incision for the laproscopic surgery isn't made near the breast.

QUESTION:
Fibroadenoma removal after breast augmentation. Will the removal of a Fibroadenoma affect my silicone implants?
I had breast surgery done about 9 months ago. Now I am going to get surgery to get a Fibroadenoma removed. It has been biopsied and it has been confirmed that it is Fibroadenoma and I want to get it removed. I am afraid that the removal will cause my implant to rupture or move. Should I be concern? My implants were done under the muscle.-
ANSWER:
Not to worry I have had SEVERAL of those removed. Its not going to effect your implants at all since they were done under the muscle. They are going to make a small incision and most likely the lump will be pretty close to the surface as most Fibroadenoma's are. You might be in slight pain but everything will be ok.

everything is fine, they very soft and look good frontal. But if u in a dress or shirt ahhhhhh too round and big ;-(

ANSWER:
I don't know what has been damaged in your right breast, or if it is permanent, but you should definitely have them removed when you've found that you don't really like them. And I think you should not think of new operations of any kind. Just leave them as they are after removal, that is the nicest for you, emotionally, and the most beautiful too.

QUESTION:
Removal of breast implants?
I have had my current breast implants in since 1988. I didn't know that we should have them out every 7 years as someone said. Yikes.I have considered taking them out altogether. I have no breasts. I mean, none. However, I'm not getting any younger and not sure if I really want anymore put back in.
What do you think? I'm so tired of having health problems and thinking, "gee, I wonder if it's because of the outdated silicone implants...??"
But then I think, if I had the money, I would have them replaced. I have the money to have them out and that's about it. Soooo...if I do that, I would more than likely have to rely on prosthetics. God didn't bless me with big boobs...
I was a 32 AAA when the original implants were put in.
I think now, I would be more like a 36...who knows....when they come out...
Any thoughts?
Please be nice.

QUESTION:
Has anyone had their breast implants removed?
Hi,
I have breast implants and have had them since the early 90's. After two years went by, they hardened and I have lived with them that way because I like the way they look and make me feel, but I hate that they are really hard. It's very embarrassing to think that other people feel them when we hug and they sometimes just hurt because of the encapsulation which pulls on my breast tissue.I was flat chested before I had the surgery, kind of like Goldie Hawn or her daughter, Kate Hudson. I did not feel sexy at all. I know I will have to get used to being flat chested again and will have to give away my sexy bras, but I will deal with it.
I wish I had NEVER had the surgery, because honestly, a woman's sexiness is not in her breasts, but how she feels about herself and acts. I've seen many small breasted women who seem sexy as hell (such as Goldie and Kate), so I know it's really all in our minds mostly because someone put that idea there and we fell for their opinion.
Well, I could say more about why we don't feel, sexy unless we have more normal sized or bigger breasts, but I really just want to know your experience, good or bad, if you had your implants removed.
Did you also have hardening and did you have to have a lot of scar tissue removed or not? Also, how were yours put in? Was the incision under your breast, under your nipple or ?
Just to let you know, mine are silicone and were not put under my chest wall. How about yours? I'm curious to know what I might experience and how your breast implant removal went for you. How do you feel about your experience and decision to have yours removed?
Thanks so much!
-
ANSWER:
Hi PetuniaI'm sorry I do not know all the technical details you ask about, but I may please express my appreciation for your decision. I don't think you should follow the implicit advice in the other answer and take one more turn, because "implants may be better now".
As a "boy", I would very much welcome you to come back to us, and have your own breasts again. Actually I heard one lady on tv (actually one of the first semi-well-known in my country, who became even more semi-well-known by announcing to all the papers that she had had silicone implanted) and she said as one of the reasons for having them removed, that she started longing to be able to step out of the shower "and just be my own skin and spirit" - now that is sexy (because I think we guys more often think of skin and spirit as the most opposite it gets ;o) whereas this woman talked about it as something that should be one).
I remember I once saw some pictures of a very good result of removal. So I think your breasts will be much much nicer too. By the same token as the skin and spirit it guess you also can't separate the mental sexiness and the breasts, but what is sexy about both are two things: that the woman seems so agreeable to get close to, and that she likes to be liked for it.
You may experience some emotional turmoil, but hopefully it will be a beneficial one for you, that will leave you relieved and "cleansed" at the end of the day. I wish I could give you some backup - but good luck (you are of course always welcome to send me a email if you want someone to talk to somewhere in the process, but I suppose that would be unusual when we don't know each other, you just cheered me up by this posting) ;o)

QUESTION:
How often do women get infected with a fungus from a breast implant or breast implant surgery?
March 19, 2008 I got my boobs done. Right away there was bruising on my left breast. Then it took 4 months for my stitches to dissolve. My DR. only removed 1 stitch. Atleast 3 were still poking out of my body. If he removed them it could disrupt the implant. So they finally disappeared. THEN a few months later I started to get real sick. My boob swelled up 3 times its size and was HARD. They thought it was "breast cellulitis" or whatever. I was hospitalized and given crazy tissue antibiotic..I was finally released with a picc line (crazy iv that goes almost all the way to your heart) with Vanclymicine(spelling) My body did not do so well with that treatment and my specialist disease dr. switched to to anoth IV antibiotic and some Levaquin..like 750 mg. sooooo then.. that didnt work. About 1 week later My breast turned red and I was admitted to the ER for emergency surgery. I have regained my health since the removal of the implant. The cultures taken were sent to a microbiologist who said that he found Actinomyces.. they had the cultures sent to a DNA lab to further testing( I dont know why..) So now Im on ammoxicillin and some other common antibotic. This whole thing is just crazy and it totally seemed this whole time like I was a freak and nobody..plastic surgeon or infectious disease doctors had any clue what was going on. Had this ever happen to ANYONE out there. This has been such a scary road for me and its not over. If anyone has heard of this.. how did this happen? I’m not a dirty person at all and I took care of myself..how did a possibly fungus get in my body. I’m pissed and want to blame my doctor but maybe it was a freak thing and never anyone fault. Please, any information will comfort me. Thank you
I should mention that the plastic surgeon that has been watching over me since I got sick is a different Dr. then the one who put my implants in. I had moved to a different state.
Also the microbiologist said he found "nacardia" (i know i spelled that wrong)-
ANSWER:
First it sounds like you got a post-surgical infection with an anaerobic bacteria, Actinomyces. It is not a fungus, thats why you are on an antibiotic. Actinomyces is normal mouth flora of humans. It has been implicated in wound infections and abcesses. The vancomycin and levaquin were not appropriate treatments, hence you didn't get better. They were probably trying to treat empirically for MRSA and/ or a gram negative rod prior to getting a culture report. Ammoxicillin is appropriate treatment for Actinomyces.

QUESTION:
Does a breast implant last for life?
or do they require future operations or removal or replacements? And can they ever be completely removed with an empty space left behind that would go back to normal?-
ANSWER:
They are not made to last for life i believe you have to get them done every 10 years and if you don't want them anymore the stretched out skin and all will have to be reduced and reconstructed to boobs again, they can also rupture if you are not careful so no breast implants do not last for life.

QUESTION:
Do I get hip, thigh and breast implants or a rib removal and tummy tuck operation?
Looking at the Special K adverts I realise that,
all of a sudden I'm highly unattractive. I have no curves on me what so ever. Yet all the adverts are about dieting to reach a healthy figure- a curvy figure. I am a healthy figure!! But apparently not- because I have no boobs and no hips. GREAT. And no I'm not a boy, I'm an 18 year old female. Everything is about curves and only curves. So there's no point in me dieting or I'll look anorexic and there's no point in me gaining weight or all my 'curves' will be in the wrong places and I'll just look fat. So why is it I ask- do they switch from one extreme, like Kate Moss, to another, like Nigella Lawson. It's just not bl**dy fair!
This isn't about me. It's about the media.-
ANSWER:
I am both. I am thin - 105lb, but I am also curvy - 32D-23-32, on my 5'4" frame. Find a body type you like and strive for it.

QUESTION:
Breast Implants, new pair or not?
I had a Breast augmentation when I was 19yrs old, 6 yrs ago. I do regret it but I can't go back, they were lovely, bouncy & natural looking & very soft. Then I got pregnant. They grew enormous & I attempted breast feeding which just ruined them completely. My boobs are still soft & a nice shape but have rippling (see Janice Dickinson's boobs ) so I have the option of having bigger implants or complete removal.
If I go bigger I'd be a34 D, If i have them out I'd be a 34B. I love having just over a handful but I also don't want to have these silicone falsies in my body.
Anyone have any experience with implant removal or having them re done?
Thanks
Im not brave at all lol being put to sleep is my worst nightmare. I know a lot of women who have great boob jobs & love them. The only problem is you do have to get them changed at some point in your life.Back when I had mine done I was told they were for life & didn't know I'd need them re-done, If i had known this I wouldn't have had them in the first place.-
ANSWER:
It depends on how unhappy you are with them now, is it effecting your confidence? are feeling depressed about the way your boobs look?
If you are a bit dissapointed with them but can live witht them the way they are then I think you should, because there is no point putting yourself through painful surgery if you are only slightly unhappy with them.
If you really really can't cope with how they have changed from the pregnancy and breast feeding then go for the bigger ones.
Try writing a list of pro's and cons and you may get a clearer view of what is best for you.Good luck!

QUESTION:
Has anyone ever had breast implants removed?
Got them when I was young,No need to judge me on the decision. Good part is after breastfeeding two kids, they are still pretty perky. Would removal leave me with super saggy boobs?-
ANSWER:
your doctor is not just going to remove them, he wouldn't do that. What he has to do is reconstruct your breast now, which is expensive. Also, depends on whether you have them under the muscle or above. If you have them under the muscle it's easier to reconstruct, over the muscle you may have a harder time, they may have to ad some fat or do something, but the will not leave you with a sunken in chest. Consult a really good surgeon. And it is worth it, the breast implants are just a waste of money..

QUESTION:
Tattoo removal on the NHS?
I was wondering if its possible to get tattoos removed on the NHS? I've heard of them funding people to get breast implants and sex change surgeries, so tattoo removal must be available? If so, where/who can I inquire about it?
After searching for a while and calling my local practice, I found that the NHS will let just about anybody have tattoos removed. Go me.-
ANSWER:
Alice, the NHS doesn't cover your tattoo removal *unless* it's a gang tattoo. Only people who are escaping gang life and want the gang symbol removed from their body are eligible for free removal.I asked my GP about getting a really small tattoo removed two weeks ago. He said it couldn't be done on the NHS because it was cosmetic. Even though my tattoo was starting to leak away out of its original 'boundary' into the surrounding skin - which I thought was a good reason...
So you have to pay for it privately. There's been a lot of backlash against the NHS for funding tattoo removals, since taxpayer's money is being spent for purely cosmetic gain - and for our mistakes.

QUESTION:
Sex change surgery...whats first?
Just curious as to which surgery a man would get first...breast implants or removal of his genitalia.-
ANSWER:
A MAN certainly wouldn't get breast implants; his first surgical procedure would be mastectomy. And many trans men don't have genital surgery at all, because of the relatively poor results these procedures produce.I think you're trying to ask "What surgery would a transsexual WOMAN get first?".
That varies; some women will have facial surgery first, others won't have it at all. Many trans women don't get breast implants at all; we develop quite adequate breast tissue without surgery, just as most other women do.
And, believe it or not, some transsexual women don't get genital surgery either...A little help for you;

QUESTION:
Psychologist or psychiatrist? Please help clinical case scenario?
I am doint this assessment on interdisciplinary health care on a patient who has acute liver failure, secondary to sepsis coming from her breast implants. She stated many times that she wants to be dead. Refuses liver transplantation or the removal of her breast implants. She rather be dead instead of removing these implants. As a interdisciplinary health care approach, in relation to her mental health who would be best to refer this patient to and why? Thanks alot in adavanced
-
ANSWER:
Start where she is, see what she wants. Without this, you will get no where in assisting her.If she wants to be dead see if you can explore this wish with her. Does she really want to be dead, is she depressed, is she overwhelmed, is she socially isolated? She does have the right to refuse treatment, even though it can be difficult for people in the field to manage our own feelings surrounding this choice.
If she is open to exploring her feelings, you could refer her for a mental health assessment with a social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist. Your team should have someone on staff to provide this service or information on where to refer her to. She might benefit from therapy or a support group to explore her medical issues and to make the right informed decision for her life.

QUESTION:
when is the best age to have a baby?
right now, it seems more and more people around me are having babies! my sister just had a baby, girls from my school have either just had a baby this year or are due any day now, and 8 women at my work are currently pregnant (i work in a care home). So now im starting to feel left out. thing is i cannot afford one, i am saving for breast implants, lazor hair removal ect-
ANSWER:
If we all said we couldn't afford one...lots of us would have never had children. There really is not a best age at all. There will always be some reason not to.My advice is to listen to yourself, you will know when is the right time for you.Just because everyone else is doing it,doesn't mean you should.
And not every woman is meant to be a mother. This is how children get abused and even worse, killed by their parents.
So by all means, please wait until you feel YOU and your partner are BOTH ready:)

QUESTION:
i have lump on my right breast and i want it to be remove at the same time i want to have a breats implants?
is it possible to have a lump removal operation and breats implants at the same time?-
ANSWER:
I'm not a plastics man, but I would think that you'd want your breast to heal from the lumpectomy before you were involved with getting implants or whatever. I'll bet that your plastics surgeon will want to "work alone" and not in conjunction with your general surgeon.John Jones, M.D.

QUESTION:
i am a 50% transexual...i had breast implants made two years ago and it was great. I had undergone alar and?
nose-lift surgery also, had removed partially my adam's apple and had done eyebags removal also. I was doing self medication to feminize more myself by taking female hormones like Diane 35 for more than 5 years already and had used Andocur also to maintain my feminine softness. However, taking into considerations after reading all the side effects of these hormones, i got afraid to take them and had stopped for almost a year now. However, i noticed that i grew bigger, i became fat a little, got a fat tummy, lost some of my hair and had built litle muscles on my arms. Furthermore, i looked drained and i felt that my whole body dried after stoping the complete intake of the hormones. On the other hand, i am afraid also of the possible side effects of the hormones if i wil continue taking them like thrombophlebitis, DVT's , etc. I would like to know if there are any other alternatives to bring back the feminity that i had once had, like soft body, soft and radiant face, like any other oral medicines or creams that are non toxic tha may be consumed by transgenders or transexuals like me....please anyone...advise.....-
ANSWER:
Advise? OK.You can't be '50% transsexual' any more than you can be '50%'pregnant'; you either ARE, or you're NOT.
Diane 35' will have very little feminising effect; it contains only a minute amount of oestrogen. The main therapeutic component of 'Diane 35' is cyproterone, which is also the main constituent of Androcur. Cyproterone is an androgen blocker, but that doesn't mean it has any feminising effect; it merely blocks the effects of testosterone.
Also, it's not generally prescribed for trans purposes because of it's high liver toxicity; there are safer alternatives.
Your not knowing these facts, and the fact that you were taking, in effect, a double dose of cyproterone, suggest that you aren't getting them from a medically-qualified source; in other words, self-medicating. Self-medicating kills trans people; don't do it.Despite the claims of their vendors, there are NO over-the-counter creams, pills, potions, lotions, foods or food additives, or herbal supplements that will have ANY significant feminising effect. If you want these effects, you're going to have to get a prescription from a Doctor (and regular health and blood checks).

QUESTION:
Advice with my implant.?
ok so on the 16th of january i had my old implant taken out and a new one put in. After alot of struggle trying to get the old one out and making the cut in my arm bigger she eventually got it out my arm was very sore. 2 days later the cut in my arm were the stitches and dressing were had split so my implant was loose i had more stitches put in that was the 18th. Ever since then i get a very sharp pain in my arm and find it very difficult to pick things up as i work in a shop stacking things its making it virtually imposible. Also just under my armpit by the side of my breast i get a very sharp pain not sure if the pain is related. The implant itself is raised above the skin (so there is a lump where its healed) Do you think it has been put in right or should i have it checked ive phoned the doctors and theyve said its my arm under a lot of stress from the removal of the last implant.
i have had an implant before and it was never this bad, any advice much aprechiated. Thankyou.-

botox
teach bleaching/ whitening
laser stretch mark removal
lipo
breast lift (do you have to get an implant to have them lifted?)

botox- expensive, not necessary if you're under 40, peels & staying out of the sun will keep wrinkles away
teeth bleaching- not worth it, whitening strips are just as good
laser stretch mark removal- only necessary if the stretch marks look noticably bad, lasers are the only treatment that will help
lipo- last resort, work out 1st & eat well
breast lift- only if you really need it & no, they dont have to use implants

QUESTION:
i have family breast cancer history, will medicare pay for me to remove my natural breasts and have implants?
my grandmother, aunty and mother have had breast cancer. my sister and i are both young, 23 and 24 respectively. I cant bear what they have gone through. And to be honest, I'm scared. Petrified because there is more than a possibility either my sister, myself or even my baby nieces will someday be diagnosed with this disease. Is there a possibility of me being able to get my natural breast tissue removed and then getting implants to 'replace' them? Will this be covered by medicare if I can show them that it is genetic? As young as I am, everyday I check my breasts and the paranoia and watching family get taken away is killing me. If there is any chance of reducing it, would the removals be possible and is it available in Australia? Many thanks (also, I understand it may cost alot more if the implant size is different to my natural size) all answers will be helpful, except that from irrelevant, insensitive a**holes.-
ANSWER:
Medicare will not pay unless you have a double mastectomy due to breast cancer.
Which would be rare to have in both breasts at the same time.

My breasts have been very sore for the past few days and no period yet so I took a pregnancy test today but came up negative. QUESTION:
pregnancy after implanon removal?
Hi i just had my implanon removed on Aug 25,2010 at my local planned parenthood I wasnt informed me and my husband has been trying for number 2. im 20 and had implant in for exact 2 years it has been removed almost a week and half ago I started spotting yesterday and still no period which I was expecting with my regular cycle to come at the beginning at this month and today no spotting at all. i had a clear blue easy under the cabinet I took it this evening around 7pm and the result where positive but the other line was real faint but it still made a plus sign to let me know. I didn't expect to be pregnant this soon so i went n bought a e.p.t. and it said negative i took that around 8pm. My question is can I be pregnant already? the pregnancy test both reading different results please give me some advice??? we have been having unprotected sex since getting it removed and even days leading up to removal and I have been having sore breast. implanon has been removed 2 weeks on Wed.-
ANSWER:
I got pregnant while on Implanon, so its possible that you did too.If you got one faint positive, its still a positive. You probably should take another test first thing in the morning with your first urine for more concentrated urine with the HCG hormone. You probably aren't but about 3 weeks. . .
Good luck! (And congrats!)

QUESTION:
Why are people so quick to stereotype women with implants?
I'll be back to trolling as JP, recovering mangina, and everything else later but this is serious.I dated a woman who was into fitness competitions and had breast implants. When I met her, I assumed she was a bimbo, totally focused on her looks, totally shallow.
Know why she had implants? She had had breast cancer. AT AGE 19!
It was so common in her family and she'd had it so young they went to the extreme of a full mastectomy. So she had implants.
She went into working out a lot because of her health, because she was fighting back from chemo and radiation and trying to stay alive. Her physique wasn't for vanity but for survival.
She got into fitness competitions because she was trying to rebuild her confidence in herself and her body after feeling like the removal of her breasts made her totally unattractive and worthless to men.
Sometimes we have to be careful about stereotyping "the beautiful people"
Anyway, back to trolling. Don't go thinking just because I said this I am gonna go back to manginaville. it ain't happening.
Yeah statistically that's true. But when you meet a woman and ASSUME you have NO IDEA if she had breast cancer DO YOU?-
ANSWER:
because the majority of people with breast implants are shallow vain bitches who want to look cheap and fake for mens attention.its only a very small portion of the people who get it done due to things like cancer, etc.
im allowed to assume. most people do and those assumptions can easily be corrected

QUESTION:
Why do people say I'm vain because I want plastic surgery?
I'm 15. I want to get plastic surgery (ear sculpting, breast implants/lift, lip augmentation, mole removal, rhinoplasty and maybe cheek implants) and everyone says I'm vain for wanting these things when I'm not. I judge myself for my looks way more than other people. When I was younger, my teasing got so bad that I stopped going to school and started homeschooling. I never had any friends whatsoever. I had to worry about what I wore because I wore certain things, people would make fun of me because it was clothes meant for thin people. I endured severe mental and emotional abuse (and some physical) as a child (it still hasn't really stopped) from my family members. My dad's a drug dealer and addict and my mom's family hates him so when they tell me I look like a spitting image of him, it's not a compliment.Continued....
Also I want to get my teeth fixed (whitening, straightening, tooth removal) because I had severe dental problems as a child.
When I was younger, I was overweight from being put on steriods from asthma (which caused stretch marks literally all over my body). Also my breasts developed quickly (back in elementary school). They're uneven (one's much heavier), heavy and the sag horridly. There's no volume or anything nice about them whatsoever and I've tried every kind of bra out there.
My nose constantly causes me breathing problems because the nostrils are uneven.
My bottom lip is a lot thicker than my top one and it makes me look like my chin juts forward badly.I'm not doing this to look like Barbie. I just would like to have a few years of beauty in my youth, ya know? Why is that cause to say I'm vain?
-
ANSWER:
I dont think you are vain just want to be happy with yourself.

QUESTION:
For Woman only please...well men can answer to I guess...be mature boys!?
I can't believe I am asking this but I want your honest opinion...respectfully okay because this is very hard for me to ask.If you were about to see your girlfriend naked (or a woman you want badly) for the first time and you knew that she had breast cancer, would looking at her scars disgust you?
At 23 I had breast cancer. It was advanced and I had to have bilateral mastectomies. I did what is called a tram flap reconstruction (using muscle and fat from your stomach) to make "breasts" Implants where not an option for me because of the radiation and chemo. The breast are really only there for appearance purposes in clothes...to look normal. When the shirt is off I am obviously scarred. I have a scar in my armpits (lymphnode removal), my left breast has a circular scar where the nipple had to be removed, my right breast has a circular scar in the same spot, but it also has a line down the middle and underneith the breast (the cancer was worse there) and I have one on my belly button from the tubes. I have another one from my hip to hip (resembling what a tummy tuck would look like). I also had Open Heart Surgery from complication of the Chemo that caused a clot, so I have a huge scare going vertically down my chest. I also have no nipples. I can't believe I told you all that. Either way, would you be totally disgusted. The reason I am asking is because the woman I am in love with is coming to be with me next week and I haven't let her see my body like this. She knows but has never seen it. I don't want her to be disgusted so I need to know if I am gross...please please please don't be rude.
I want you to know that I love you all for saying that. I haven't shown anyone what I look like and its hard for me to even look at myself. I'm seriously crying right now, so thank you so much for your kind words xoxoxoxo
I love you too Lisa B...and the rest of you for building me up. Thanks so much. I am so nervous, but hopefully she will be okay with me. She isn't rude or mean...its just hard for me.LOVES <3 xoxoxox

ANSWER:
OK, I'm a gay guy, but I can help. There really should be no problem, we should hope... I don't have a perfect body, nor am I (or my body) very pretty. My b/f doesn't care about how I look when he is making love with me. I used to be embarrassed, but he has told me that he is making love to ME, not my body, and ya know, I have to be naked for some of the things he wants to do...he insists! lol.
This will work for you, but you'll have to "work" it. She may be shocked or the procedure may come to a slight standstill or something. Be prepared for that, don't let it become too embarrassing to you or to her, it shouldn't if you go slow. She and you are already prepared, this is a smaller step than you think. Good luck, sweetie...

QUESTION:
Plastic Surgery Advice?
I'm 15 (turning 16 soon) and I want to get plastic surgery. I tried posting earlier but all I did was get bashed. So please don't bash me this time. How much do these surgeries cost? How fast can I start getting them? I'd like to have them all completed by the time I'm 20 or 21. Please post info and expierence is welcome. Thanks.
I want to get these surgeries:
Breast Implants
Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty
Arm Lift
Mole Removal
Ear Reduction/Scuplting
Lip Augmentation
Botox
Chemical Peel
Toe Reduction
Blepharoplasty
Permanent Hair Removal
Tooth Extraction
Invisible Braces
VeneersI don't know if this surgery exist but I'd like to get a hair transplant to create a widow's peak on my hair line. Also I may consider butt implants if my slims down to much as I lose weight (from steroids).
I was really sick when I was younger and my body took a beating from it so I feel I was kinda robbed of my youth. I know I won't look young forever but I'd like to look young while I am.
I don't plan on getting major ones until I'm at least 18. And no, I don't need to see a therapist. These are just things that I considered beautiful even before I knew what plastic surgery was. And I have good reasons that aren't cosmetic for most of them.
I'm going to get at least half of these surgeries so please quit saying "don't do it."
I don't think I'm going to grow anymore. I'm like 5'8" ft and I've been that tall since the 6th grade. My breasts have been C cups since elementary school. Things like having my eyes slanted with the blepharoplasty wouldn't matter because my eyes aren't going to slant on their own no matter how old I get. And people get their ears fixed when they're 7 and 8 years old. Also I'm really sorry about what happened to you with cancer. For me, it was my kidneys and lungs that gave me problems.-
ANSWER:
these is a lot of surgery, it won´t be cheap, but on this site you can find the average plastic surgeon´s fees for USA, although it doesn´t include the cost of the anesthesiologist and facility fee, but it can give you an idea of that http://www.aestheticandplastic.com/before-your-surgery/6.htmlI suggest you to ask a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon to recommend you the best options to your specific case because just like this is not enough. Also you can read more about most of those procedures here http://www.aestheticandplastic.com/procedures/index.php
I wish you all the best, don´t forget also to take in count your family opinion about it. All the best!
