Enhance Your Breasts Naturally

Breast Augmentation Without Surgery

Cosmetic surgery has made incredible advancements in terms of the quality of surgeons and recovery times for patients. While today's breast augmentation patients recover faster than ever before, they still want to get back to their daily routine as quick as possible. Before you can plan to speed up your recovery, you first have to know what to expect following your breast augmentation surgery.

Recovery After Breast Augmentation Surgery

You should always consult with your breast augmentation doctor about what to expect before having it done. You should expect your breasts to be bruised and swollen after the procedure. This should reduce in about two to four weeks. In the event that the swelling is different on each side, don't worry, that is normal. However, if the difference in swelling is extreme, then you will want to contact your breast augmentation doctor immediately.

You may notice that your breasts are slightly high and firm. This is also normal and you can expect the breasts to soften and settle in about two months. It's also common for one breast to settle before the other, so don't be alarmed if that occurs.

How to Speed Up Recovery After Breast Augmentation Surgery

Now that the breast augmentation surgery is complete, you will be anxious to get back to everyday life with your new body. For that to happen as soon as possible, try following these few tips for a faster recovery.

-After the surgery, keep packs of ice on your breasts to help minimize swelling.
-Avoid any strenuous activities or actions for at least the first week after your breast augmentation surgery.
-Avoid bending over or stretching for at least one week to ten days after the procedure.
-Avoid sleeping on your stomach for at least two weeks following the breast augmentation surgery. For the fastest recovery, try sleeping in an upright position.
-If your breast augmentation surgery incorporated smooth silicone implants, then you should massage them daily, starting 24 hours after the surgery. This helps to keep them soft, in place and helps to avoid capsular contractures.
-If your breast augmentation surgery incorporated textured implants, then do not massage them.

Other Limitations to Help Recover Faster From Breast Augmentation Surgery

As stated earlier, physical exertion should be extremely limited after your breast augmentation. This means that you should prepare to take a few days off from work after your surgery. If you have a strenuous job, plan to take between two and three weeks off. In an ideal situation, you should try to avoid driving for at least seven days after your surgery.

If you are an active person who loves to exercise, talk to your breast augmentation doctor. In most cases, you will need to avoid the gym for a minimum of four weeks. Avoid upper body weights for at least six weeks. You may be on a less-active exercise routine like walking, which you can start after a few days into your recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
is there an alternative way to have breast augmentation without surgery?
Can any pills that are in the market for sale help???

    • ANSWER:
      unfortuatly not.
they have pills but DONT take them.
the pills are like a large dosage of hormones and usualy males take them when they are transexuals, crossdressers, homos, ect. so when a female takes them, it gives them male like features, sorta like what the sideeffects of steriods would give you.

  2. QUESTION:
Are there any other methods of breast augmentation without having surgery?
I'm thinking about whether getting a boob job or maybe using other non-surgical methods of breast augmentation.

    • ANSWER:
Birth control pills may work, but if you wait long enough, Europe and Japan have come up with a more "natural" way to grow your boobs some more. It involves taking adult stem cells from the fat in your thighs and injecting it into your boobs. The stem cells multiply and grow their own blood supply. They give you about 1 cup size bigger, so they aren't for people who want to go from an A to a C or D, but its prolly the closest thing to natural out there.

  3. QUESTION:
Is there anyway you can get Breast surgery without the implants?
I heard that you can get breast augmentation without getting the implants.Like they can suck fat from other parts of your body and they put it inside of your breast.I mean I know that sounds really gross but it sounds safer to me because you don't have to worry about getting the implants changed every 10-15 years because it will be the fat from your own body. What is that surgery called? And how much do you think it would cost? I will choose the best answer. THX ! :)

    • ANSWER:
i wantd to do that too its caled breast reconstruction with surrounding areas and its about the same price as implants soo that sux AND the results can vary u cant look it up on the web and google it and see what i mean

  4. QUESTION:
    breast enlargement without surgery?
im 20 years old and not even an a cup. i don't want to have to resort to breast augmentation surgery, for one it is expensive and two it looks fake. is there anything i can do to stimulate breast growth? i am already on the pill and it hasn't done anything. i've heard that stimulating nipples makes milk and therefore makes your boobs grow? is this true? also ive heard that the creams and pills don't do anything.
    thanks for your help

    • ANSWER:
You do not need to resort to surgery. For one it's not worth it anyway. For two, there are some natural options. I was just like you as far a size. I wished I was bigger, I was self conscious, but in the end it doesn't really matter, I liked me for me. I found a husband who loves me and doesn't care what size they are.

That being said I am currently taking Breast Success and am on the second bottle and already seeing results. Even though my husband didn't care, I wanted to see what I could do for me, I wanted to see. I know that hormone health plays a role in breast development, so knowing that these herbs help balance and support normal hormone function and health I saw that as a good thing. I said to myself if nothing else I should see some improvement in my hormone balance.

      http://www.breastsuccess.com/

I looked into natural options and the ingredients and testimonials and I chose to try it. The reason I chose this over other natural supplement options was the ingredients are all herbs that have been used for many many many years for female health and an amino acid that helps with breast growth. They are in capsule form rather than tablet (no fillers and binders that tablets have.) As well as the women taking it found they experienced other healthy effects such as increased Libido and better menstrual cycles with less PMS...and they saw breast growth. This to me showed it was a good product and one I would be willing to try. Also they use more variety of herbs than other natural supplements for breast enhancement.

I also looked into Breast Actives another top rated brand for breast enhancement and they use a program of exercise and massage to help, so I am doing some of that as well. You don't need to buy their program to effectively use those methods, it is no secret method. Breast Actives also uses a cream with the tablet supplements, it may help contribute, but I find I am getting fairly quick results with Breast Success and I am happier using something with less fillers and additives.

Here is a third party review of some natural breast enhancement products:

      http://www.breastenhancementadvisor.com/product-reviews.htm

I would recommend you try Breast Success with the option of exercises and breast massage along with it if you are really wanting to try something. I wouldn't trust just any enhancement supplements though, beware.

For exercise basically all you need is a couple different pectoral exercises. These work the muscles that lie under the breast tissues and help support and perk them up. This contributes to fullness. When exercising pay attention to your form and make sure you can feel the chest muscles (pecs) working and contracting. If you are working them enough and properly they should feel a little sore the next day (only needs to be a little sore, should not be crippling). Check here for some links:

The info on breast massage shows actual breasts, just to give you a heads up. So don't look up these links if you don't want to see such things. Here are a couple of links:

As your breasts increase in size it becomes more important to have a properly fitting and supportive bra. This prevents the ligaments and connective tissue from being stretched out. Also wear a supportive sports bra when exercising.

I don't think that there is anything to the nipple stimulation...at least not from milk production. You don't produce milk unless you are pregnant or needing it for breast feeding. Though after getting married and my breasts getting handled more, I personally did see a slow increase in size even before trying anything else.

Best of luck. People may say this doesn't work. And yes I agree in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. We as women get an unhealthy attitude about our looks, we need to like ourselves for what we have. But I find this does work. Results vary from woman to woman, and genetics still play a role. And as will all natural things aren't instant fixes.

Your self esteem shouldn't rely on the size of your breasts. That really doesn't matter one bit. If someone is going to like you it needs to be for you and not for your physical attributes. And you need to like you for who you are. Don't get obsessive about how you look in any aspect.

If you want to learn more about hormone health and balance this web site has lots of information from a Natural Standpoint:

      http://healthyimmunity.com/

Lorna Vanderhaeghe is known as a hormone health expert and on her site you can listen to talk shows, read newsletters, and even read a couple of her books for free.

Best of luck, no matter what you do love you for you not for your physical attributes. Those are shallow things that don't really matter in life. Bigger breasts may get more attention, but it's not the kind that matters.

  5. QUESTION:
What is the best way to get a breast lift without surgery?
I have friends that are considering getting a breast augmentation. I feel that you should be able to do something naturally about the lifting and firming aspect of it. Any suggestions, or am I wrong to think that?

    • ANSWER:
Get a hunky looking bloke to hold them up for you. :)

  6. QUESTION:
    Increasing breast size without surgery?
I wanted to know if there is a way I can increase the size of my bust naturally. I was looking up stuff on the internet and the only thing I found aside from breast augmentation surgery (boob job) was this injection stuff, but I don't want to use any of that stuff.

    I'm a pretty petite person. 5'4" ish and right around 100 lbs and I wear a 32B.
I'm only 16. I was told that I'm nearing the end of puberty and that mine probably won't get any bigger. Is that true? If it isn't, what are the chances that I will get bigger?
My family has a long line of women with big breasts. My mom is a DD and my younger sister is a C, going on a D. My grandma and Aunt both have E's. I'm really small compared to all of them... However, the women in my family also have weight problems, which I don't. On that note, I have a really fast metabolism. I eat a lot, but even when I do manage to gain a pound or two, it's off within a few days. Simply "gaining some weight" isn't really an option for me.
I heard that massaging your breasts can make them bigger. Does this actually work? I also heard that drinking more milk can help make breasts larger. Does that work?

Umm... I'm not sure what else to give here. Any tips, ideas, or responses would be appreciated!

Seeing this same question fifty times a day makes me want to leave the section of yahoo answers that I am really skilled in.
I have never answered one, but now I will:
There is no magic potion or lotion to make you have bigger boobs. Any thing/product that says it can is just praying on the insecurity of young girls that haven't fully developed yet!
The way to tell if you are going to have big boobs is to look at the grandmas in the family, cause that is what you are going to be like.
There is nothing wrong with the way you are.
Boobs do not make a woman.

  7. QUESTION:
Can I have breast augmentation without first removing the lump in my breast?
I had a mammogram to rule out a lump that has been in my breast for about 15 years. They suggested I have it removed, but project a benign outcome. However, I am having my breasts lifted with implants placed. Will this lump pose a problem? There is no time to have it removed before the surgery, and I am doing it with my friend, so I would like to go ahead with my scheduled appointment.
I realize what the risks are; I have talked with my doctor about it, and she feels it is not a lump of concern. What I am asking is can I have it removed after the augmentation? I do plan on speaking to my surgeon, I just thought someone out there might have had a similar experience.

    • ANSWER:
      Good Evening,
You really should go on the advise of your doctor and have it removed before the surgery. What we are really talking about my dear is a your doctor wants you to have a biopsy it does not mean you have breast cancer. Most breast lumps are not cancer. However, having a biopsy (removal and testing of a suspicious area of the breast) is the only way to know for sure. See a doctor about any changes in your breasts. Even if you do need a biopsy, it is encouraging to know that 4 of every 5 biopsy results are not cancer.
But, We are talking about life and death in some cases. After the surgery you can get the breast augmentation done as well as he can fix that area better..

I really feel that you should not proceed with the augmentation tell your friend what is going on and how much it means to you to do this together. If she wants to continue go to be her support and I am sure she will go with you later to be your support.

Please think of the other people around you..Do you want to possibly take a chance with your life. Think of how others would be affected by your decision. Please don't play with your life. This is a very serious matter Hun do not treat it as if it isn't.

  8. QUESTION:
does everyone really wait a week to bathe after breast augmentation surgery?
I just don't think I can go a week without a bath, shaving my legs, or washing my hair. Does everyone really do this?

    • ANSWER:
Ummm, no. I don't know where you heard this, but it's absolutely not true. I think I showered like 2 or 3 days after mine...you really don't do anything those days anyway but lay in bed so it's not bad.

  9. QUESTION:
What's the best way to slip my girlfriend brochures about Breast Augmentation without upsetting her?
I've been giving brochures to her friends to pass on to her, because I think she could use the surgery.

Is there a way to tell her that she's not physically good enough for me without upsetting her?
She wouldn't ask me to get surgery because she knows I'm already pretty much perfect.

And I'm not paying. It's not my body.

How to grow breast through natural breast augmentation?
I envy women with boobs, pretty breasts I’m not talking about those with silicone. It makes me so insecure every time i see them. Is there anybody who knows how to grow your breast naturally? without any surgery because it cost a lot.I hope if somebody knows about natural breast augmentation or any other ways on natural breast enhancement. Help will highly appreciate. Thank you.

    • ANSWER:
Not quite 'natural', but going on the birth control pill, which is a hormone pill containing progesterone and estrogen, is known to increase breast size by quite a bit in most women.

However, you should research the side effects and ask your doctor about them. Some side effects can include weight gain, moodiness, improvement or worsening of acne, spotting, and nausea.

  12. QUESTION:
How can I increse bust size without surgery?
How can I increase my bust size without surgery? Has anyone ever tried those breast augmentation pills? Do they really work? I need some help, I like my body but I'm not as comfortable as I would like to be with my breast size.

    • ANSWER:
      Hey,

Trust me I know how u feel. I had small boobs too. I know how it is when u want results and not just ppl telling u " OHH, just be happy w/ yourself". I tell ppl " Well I would be happy with myself...IF I HAD BIG BOOBS". Anyways, you don't have to have surgery in order to have bigger breasts. This might sound dumb and unbelieveable but it's true. First off, the human brain is capable of doing anthing. The body acts on anything the brain tells it to do. What you do is; lay down in a nice quiet place all by yourself take about 15 deep breaths just to get all negativity and stress out. While breathing don't think of anything stressful or anyone only think of yourself. Imagine that your brain is talking to your breasts and telling it to grow. Relax your body to the point that you can feel tingles through your fingertips. After you felt that, concentrate on making your breasts tingle and tell it to grow. Do this for about 15 mins a day. I just saved you 300 in therapy. People actually pay for this kind of stuff because it really works. After your done w/ the brain exercise, always make time for the gym and keep yourself non stressed. Use the arm machine( the one you pull in towards your chest) and it will help strenghten the breast muscle and thus cause it to eventually get bigger. If you do the brain exercise and the breast work out for about an hour a day for 3 or 4 days in a week, you can probably see results in about two monthes. A full cup size. Don't skip out and keep the momentum going!!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!

  13. QUESTION:
To anyone who has had breast augmentation surgery?
I have always been a very petite person (5'2'' and 96 pounds) and didn't have much up top. That never used to bother me. But since I've been pregnant twice and breastfed two babies, I've noticed that it's really taken a toll on my boobs. They look all flat and tiny and awful. A 32A bra is too big for me now and I'm embarrassed to leave the house without padding. I'm seriously considering getting implants in about a year.

I've been happily married for 7 years, so I don't want to do it to try to impress anyone. I just want to have normal proportions so shirts and bras actually fit and I don't feel like a 12 year old boy in a dress.

I was wondering if anyone has had it done and can answer a few questions? How long does it take to recover? It is possible to get a small, more realistic-looking boob job? I don't want giant googly-eye looking breasts. What are some good things to look for in a surgeon? Any help is much appreciated.

    • ANSWER:
Yes, I had it done Aug 2007.

How long does it take to recover- to be completely healed, I would say between 2 weeks to a month (though I was walking around and like myself a day or so later). The pain isn't bad b/c of the pain killers they give you.

Is it possible to get small, more realistic looking boob job? ABSOLUTELY. There are so many options... over the muscle, under the muscle, saline, silicone, size, shape, place of insertion... you name it.

I don't want giant googly-eye looking breasts- That's good... going for something natural looking and realistic is your best bet.

What are some good things to look for in a surgeon- EXPERIENCE!!! Recommendations, professionalism, answers questions... etc etc...

      Anything else? :)

How much weight should I lose to undergo a breast augmentation?
I currently weigh 210 lbs, but I have small breasts and would like breast implants. I know that my weight can pose as an issue in having the surgery. I'm currently in the process of losing weight and I was wondering what an ideal weight would be to undergo the surgery without a high risk.

    • ANSWER:
I don't think that your current weight is as much of an issue with augmentation as the augmentation while loosing weight would be. Loosing weight after augmentation can cause rippling in the implants to become visible. It is best to wait until you are finished loosing weight to have the procedure done.

  19. QUESTION:
    breast augmentation?
I was thinking of getting the surgery, im 5'4'' and 115lbs.
I lost 20 pounds (i was 135lbs before) and now im loving my weight but now i dont even fill an A cup (not that i really filled it before)

I was wondering is there any type of breast augmentation/implant that will enable me to still breastfeed and will be real without huge troubles in the 10, 20 some years to come after?

And what cup size do you recommend?

    • ANSWER:
Hi I had my augmentation 2 years ago, I am also a very small framed woman at 5'2 and about 115 lbs. I did a lot of research before I went through with my surgery as there are many things to concider when making a life changing decision such as this. Here are some things to concider before you go ahead with it. 1. Be sure you have chosen a board certified plastic surgeon that has done many of these surgerys, and look him up before so you know if he has ever been suid for malpractice or for disfigurments, and ask to see before and after pictures of his work. 2. If you want to breast feed and also be able to have mamagrams for easy, and early detection of breast cancer, then have the implant placed behind the chest muscle as I did, by doing this they are much more natural and the implant is not in front to obstruct any of the natural funtions of the breast, and is not blocking any thing that might show up on a mamogram x-ray. 3. Be sure to take plenty of time to recover as you will be very soar for about a week, or maybe longer. The implants are not measured by cup sizes but by units of fluid. I had 300 cc units of saline and that was the max for my body without looking fake and unnatural. There are also a few ways to have the implants put in, they can go in by a small incision under each breast, or by the belly button, or through the nipple, or under the arm pit. When you go for a consultation you will most likely see a video of these prosedures before you make your final decision. I hope this information helps you and good luck. One more thing remember that implants are insurable and this is a good thing to get, also they will need to be replaced in about ten years so concider all of these things first. Good Luck!

  20. QUESTION:
Light exercise after a breast augmentation?
I just had breast augmentation surgery on Monday and am now wondering how soon I can start exercising. I'm not in a big hurry because I want to make sure I'm well enough first, and know it may be several weeks till I can lift weights again. However, I was wondering about light exercise such as walking on the treadmill or light leg work such as lunges & squats, without weights of course. I don't want to lose what I have worked so hard for, nice toned legs. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions??? Thanx a bunch!

  21. QUESTION:
What options are there for male breast augmentation?
Hormone therapy will lead to the growth of breast tissue; however, the hormones will have other effects as well. If a man gets breast implants, will the operation be able to make the breasts look natural without natural 'extra' breast tissue growth? Are there other treatments for natural looking breasts in men w/out the other feminizing effects of hormones or unnatural results from surgery?

    • ANSWER:

  22. QUESTION:
Questions about breast surgery (lift, shaping, etc)?
I'm 23. I have 36DD breast which developed quite quickly when I was younger. Unfortunately, they are not as perky as I would like. Eventually, I plan on having them lifted and possibly something else.
I was curious about breast augmentation. I've read that they can be shaped without making them bigger. How would this be done? Does it involve implants, or can they somehow just do it with my natural breast?
Also, I have very large areolas... like bigger than the bottom of a pop can. Is there anything I can do for those with cosmetic surgery?

    • ANSWER:
unfortunately gravity takes hold so DDs wont ever be naturally perky!

They lift them and remove some of the fat from them to make them look perkier.

How long does it take to recover from breast augmentation?
I had surgery yesterday and it was horrible last night and this morning, am am feeling a little better but want to know when will i be able to sleep and relax normally without having to worry about the pain so much.
Meaning is day 1 the worst compared to day 4?
ANyone with there own story please share.

    Thanks

    • ANSWER:
I worked for a Plastic Surgeon for 5 years. No, the pain should decrease dramatically. As a matter of fact, I am surprised you are in so much pain. Have you talked to your doctor about this? I never recall anyone being in that much pain. Of course some patients could have been and just never called me. I had a relative who had breast augmentation. She was fine after the first day. The first day she was a bit groggy, but hardly any pain.

Please call your doctor is this does not improve right away. Good luck to you.

  24. QUESTION:
Can you tan in the tanning bed after surgery...with or without tanning lotion?
I just recently {July 31} had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation...I also just bought myself a new tanning bed. Can I lay in the tanning bed now? Should I use tanning lotion? I will cover my incision lines. Seeing how I am still going to see my plastic surgeon every two weeks. I cannot ask him this question, seeing how he is completely AGAINST tanning PERIOD!

  25. QUESTION:
    advice on breast augmentation please?
I am an 18 year old girl and am thinking about breast surgery to move from an A cup to a B. I am not one of those girls who have average size chests and want to go to even bigger sizes, I am thinking about this because I am seriously unhappy about having such a small chest and I feel so insecure about it, and nothing will change the way I feel about it. In my opinion, its this or losing weight to make myself in proportion, and I am very worried about this affecting my exams seeing as I have exams soon and I need to do well as I am going in to medicine.

I have no idea which company to use, or how much it'll cost, or if anyone has heard of any other ways (i.e. tablets) to either a) increase breast size or b) lose weight healthily without affecting mental ability.

Any information on the matter would be greatly appreciated :)

Medical Question for Doctors about Breast Augmentation?
So I'm 18 and I have a full C cup. I've worn a bra every day of my life since the 5th grade. But, they just don't look good. They're not as perky as they should be. So, my question is, can I get a surgery to get them lifted without actually getting implants? Or is it only an option with getting implants? Also, how much would both (if possible) cost? Thank you, and this is a real medical question please no criticism.

    • ANSWER:
You could get a breast lift this is not a usual surgery for someone your age but it may be able to give you the results your looking for without implants. Cost is variable but would probably be between 00-00 and you would not want to go to a surgeon who hasn't performed this particular surgery many times before. What I would try first is doing workouts that involve building pectoral muscles, this could work to make the breasts seem more perky and shapely. Plastic surgery is a big decision so I implore you to try the alternative method first but by no means be discouraged from getting a breast lift just recognize how big a decision it is.
      Cheers.

  27. QUESTION:
born with 1 breast not developing, now 15 yrs old who do I see about this problem, so embarrassing.?
Plastic surgeon said this would take 3 surgeries or more as skin would have to be stretched over period of 7 months and then regular surgeries maybe 3 more. How can some teenagers just go for breast augmentations without going through all this?

    • ANSWER:
This is different! Breast augmentation is not the same as constructive surgery. This is a situation that is obviously causing you great distress.
Are you talking to your mom about the way you feel? It sounds like you could use some therapy as well. I had the same problem but not to the same degree as you are. I didn't get anything done about it and now I am 52 yrs old. Now I am not so concerned about it, but when I was younger it gave me many years of self consciousness and lack of self confidence. If you can have the surgery, go for it. And get some therapy too. Good Luck!

  28. QUESTION:
Trans people: Is having surgery NOT high on your priority list?
The reason I ask this, is because I'm FTM and I'm pre-op. I've been on T for close to 5 years though. Luckily I am very small up top, so binding works pretty well for me. Sometimes I've even went out without a binder or anything, and no one even notices.

But when I go into places like FTM support groups, or even mixed MTF and FTM support groups and online chats, it seems the predominating topic of conversation is SRS or chest/breast augmentation surgery.

Am I an odd ball because this ISN'T something that's constantly on my mind? Something that I'm not really planning for in the near future? I mean I have a lot of other things to worry about right now..mostly getting through college. I mean I DO plan to have surgery EVENTUALLY, but probably not until I get out of school and get a decent paying job where I can afford it, and take the time off to recoup while getting paid for it (hello paid vacation from work). I mean this seems logical to ME, so why do I feel like I'm the odd one out in these types of social interactions with other trans people?

    • ANSWER:
I think most people who are thinking about surgery are also thinking about the little details like jobs and money too, they just don't discuss them as much as the actual surgery.

Everyone's got to have money for something, so everyone (hopefully) is employed at a level that their education is used to the fullest. It's sort of... understood that you need a job in order to fund yourself. Hardly something people would think to talk about.

SRS isn't constantly on my mind, but it's a close second to basic survival needs. In less than half a year I'll have completed my college program and will be employed somewhere earning enough money that my options won't be limited by dollar signs anymore.

I think the closer one is to that step in transition, the more they are going to think and talk about it. I know for the months leading up to my HRT beginning my friends who aren't trans were rolling their eyes at me going "What's the big deal? You make it sound like a life event or something..."

Yup, that's my take on it anyways. I don't think you're the odd man out.

  29. QUESTION:
Has anyone ever had plastic surgery without quitting smoking? If so, what were the issues,(if any or not)?
Looking to have breast augmentation, not ready to break the habit.

    • ANSWER:
Oh wow, you could REALLY screw up your healing, and some doctors will not touch you unless you have quit for at least a month prior to the surgery!

You do not want to see some horrific problems with smoking and recovery.

  30. QUESTION:
I've lost 130 lbs in the past 2 yrs but I also lost my boobs! Can I get them back without resorting to surgery
I'm a "mature" woman, who's successfully lost 130 lbs in the last 2 yrs through diet, exercise and sheer determination. Unfortunately, I've also lost my breasts! I've gone from a 44 DD to a 36 C. The size isn't the problem but now they are just saggy and lay flat against my chest. I can actually fold them in half...Is there anyway that I can get them back through some kind of bust exercises ???? I'm already having to endure surgery next year (a tummy tuck) and also to remove excess skin under my arms and inner thighs. I don't want to have breast augmentation to get my breasts back too if I can at all help it. I'm not looking for big and busty, I'm just really embarrassed with these "bifolds" that I ended up with....

    • ANSWER:
Yes unfortunately when morbidly obese people lose tons of weight fast excess skin is the biggest problem. There aren't any exercises as such that will fix your problem. It will have to come under surgery, but not necessarily augmentation surgery to fill the skin, just tighten the skin/ remove the excess. Discuss it with your doctor or whoever is responsible for monitoring your surgery requirements.

  32. QUESTION:
    Nipple Placement in Breast Lift/Augmentation?
I'm thinking about getting a lift or augmentation. I was wondering if a plastic surgeon could move nipples or place and implant in a position to where my nipples will be more in the middle instead of being off to the side without having cut my nipple off? Also what's the best way to get a breast implant inserted (ie above the muscle, behind the muscle, through the armpit, ect) when you go from a C cup to a D or DD cup? Also I read that ultrasonic therapy can help prevent Capsular Contracture. Is that true? What are some health problems that would make you a bad candidate for breast implants? Also is it better to lost weight (if you are overweight) before you have the surgery? If I got implants behind the muscle (and since I'm a C cup), would my breasts feel natural? Is it possible that sleeping on your stomach could rupture implants or will just severe injury cause this? Please post info. Thanks.
Also my nipples mostly point straight down and are probably considered to be on the underside of my breasts. Also my breasts sag because they're very heavy.
Also are smooth implants the best or another kind? I'm getting saline implants.
Also which feels more natural: Smooth implants or textured ones?
Is there a way to lift my breasts without having cut my nipple off and have large scars?
Which is better: round or teardrop?
It's not that I want implants in my body. I'd just actually like to have nice looking breasts. I was put on steriods and I lost a 100 pounds (my breasts sagged horribly before that but now they're worse). If I wanted to have a horrible body, I would never have bothered to lose the weight.
    I don't have cable.

    • ANSWER:
Usually I would field some of you questions - I'm an operating room nurse and have assisted with augmentations for breast cancer patients - but you just have too many questions. Go see a plastic surgeon and bring in a written list of questions.

One recommendation - do not - absolutely DO NOT - just go to the cheapest surgeon! Any person who has gone through a surgical residency can call themselves a plastic surgeon. Make sure that the person you are seeing has done a fellowship in plastic surgery and is in good standing with the national association of plastic surgeons. Ask to see photos of their past work - they should have quite a few for you to look at. You will be spending alot of money to have your surgery - so spend it wisely. Cheaper is definitely not better when it comes to stuff like this. Make appointments with a few doctors and talk to them all about what you want done.

      Good luck!

  35. QUESTION:
I'm curious. People in the "Gender and Women's Studies" section, what is your stance on breast augmentation?
I've been contemplating the sugery for years now actually, since the fifth grade (I'm going into tenth now). My mom has had hers done, and when I was complaining about how I was the only girl without any boobs at all, she mentioned that she'd be willing to pay for mine. Yes, this was in fifth grade. Yes, my my family is really messed up.

But anyways, what's your stance on it? If I were to get the surgery it would be for me, and nobody else; not because my mother or anyone else pushed me into it. Yes, my mom said she would let me use her surgeon, but I was the one who suggested it. My A-cup chest just makes me feel really grossly unfeminine (and yes, I'm aware that it's probably not a good thing to associate boobs and feminity; but it is how it is.) And also, while my measurements are 34-24-34, my lack of a chest makes me look like a pear-shape. Plus I can't shop for bras and I have to do it online (the people at VS told me to shop at Limited Too. I never went back.) And I also refuse to wear un-padded bras, and I have to wear chicken cutlet things every day. Also, I refuse to wear swimsuits unless I'm with really good friends. In addition to that, I'd only want B-cups, which is less than average (Average is 36C, but when Americans were skinner it was a 34 B, that's all that I'd want.)

I've researched it a lot and have really thought it out and, despite the risks and such, I think that the surgery would be good for me as that is the only aspect of my appearence that I do not like. The only one. And the only one I can't change with diet or exercise. What are your thoughts? I'd go to a world-renowned surgeons in Beverly Hills, and I'd make them as natural as possible. I also have decided to wait until I'm 22, both for the option of silicone implants, and to see if my thoughts change.

Thoughts? I'm curious as to what the feminists on here would say.
They put me on pills and creams and neither worked. Also, I'd work with the doctor to come up with a size that would look in proportion to my body. I just want to be normal, and I want to be able to go swimming or shopping without being hugely embarrassed.
I'm never going to have boobs. I already have the biggest ones in my family so far, and I've traced it down three generations. Also, I talked to my doctor. My chest is not still growing.
She didn't tell me that I could get them in fifth grade, but she did say that I could get them as a high school graduation present. I suggested waiting until I was out of college.

It was just in fifth grade that she agreed to give them as a gift if I wanted them.
PLEASE READ THE DETAILS BEFORE YOU SAY THAT I'M NOT OLD ENOUGH/ I'M NOT DONE GROWING

    ----

I SAID THAT I'D WAIT UNTIL I WAS 22 AND I ALSO STATED THAT MY DOCTOR HAS TOLD ME THAT I'M DONE GROWING. BEFORE YOU WASTE MY TIME, READ THE QUESTION'S DETAILS

All I wanted was opinions. Thank you.
    And I'm 14. I skipped a grade.

  36. QUESTION:
    breast reduction/augmentation?
i have one breast that is probably a b cup. and the other is a D cup.

i've been considering having the smaller one reduced because it's hard to find a bra that works for me, and when i sleep without a bra, the bigger one hurts me a little.

I'm 19, 5'4 130 lbs. ive seen a doc about it and they said because of my age, the smaller one won't catch up to the bigger one. they've been that way for years.

I'm scared of surgery, yet I kind of want to do it??
***i meant to say, im thinking about having the BIGGER one reduced, duh. my bad, lol.***

    • ANSWER:
I would say do it, I have had a breast reduction and it was not all bad. Huge breast run in my family, so my grandmother had to have one too. The doctors have come a long way since she had hers and I felt virtually no pain, only a little discomfort sleeping right after the surgery. It was the best thing I have every done. I have less back pain, I am sleeping a lot better, and look better in my clothes. I had mine when I was 20.

  37. QUESTION:
What do fake breasts feel like?
I've been thinking about getting breast augmentation surgery. I've already looked up the risks and all that so i don't need more info about the actual surgery. The only thing i'm concerned about, is how they feel. I've never actually felt them, so i have no idea what they're like.
What exactly do they feel like? Can u tell right away that they're fake? I'm wondering if there's any way that i could get it without my bf telling the diff between how they feel (I can blame the size increase on hormones haha)

So what exactly do they feel like?

  38. QUESTION:
do you have a right to do anything you want to your own body without asking your spouse's permission?
should a married dude or chick need to ask their spouse's permission before doing any of the following things to his/her own body?

    1. masturbate
    2. deliberately gain or lose weight
    3. begin smoking or using recreational drugs
    4. get plastic surgery, liposuction, breast augmentation or pec implants
    5. get a tattoo
    6. get tattoos all over their face
    7. sharpen their teeth to points and wear a bone throught their nose
    8. get a vasectomy or tube ligation
    9. get neutered
    10. get a sex change
the questions are hypothetical, of course. i asked it 'cause many religions teach when you get married your bodies become the joint property of you and your spouse together. but many rights advocates say exactly the opposite, that your body remains your own to do as you wish. i was wondering about the range of opinions from the folks here.
the reason i included #9 is 'cause that's a real situation faced everyday by many folk's with certain diseases like cancer of the genitals. in particular dudes with testicular cancer often have to choose between saving their own lives and ending their sex life or keeping their sex life intact and probably dying. the same applies for chicks with breast or ovarian cancer but not to the same extent.
my own opinion is that when a couple get's married they're agreeing to keep themselves healthy and attractive for their mate. any decision which can affect their marriage has to be agreed on mutually between them. that includes anything which could change their appearance or affect their sex lives or ability to have children. your mate should have veto power over any of these decisions. and if you go against your mate's wishes you're breaking the marriage contract you agreed to. that even includes masturbation if it's causing you to lose interest in your partner. the only exception i would make is a serious health decision like testicular or ovarian cancer. if removing your testicles or breast or ovaries will save your life that should be your own ultimate decision regardless of what your mate says.
thanks all for your answers. it seems you all really got into this question. of course any answer you give is a matter of personal opinion; there's really no right or wrong answer here. so i'm leaving it to the y/a community to choose best answer. thanks and don't forget to vote.

    • ANSWER:
Your body, your choice...it's courtesy to see how your partner feels about such things, but the ultimate decision is yours...

Masturbating...that's not changing your body, just touching it...anyone who has an issue with you touching yourself, has issues and insecurities THEY need to deal with...I'd never ask anyone's permission to self pleasure (that's ridiculous)

Weight...again, up to you...however you should be aware a drastic change may affect the level of physical attraction your parter has for you, as well as a concern for your health if you choose to become over or under weight to an extreme...

Smoking/drugs could also affect your partner's health as well as being a financial drain...and some drugs can change your behavior, so there could be some legitimate issues with that...not to mention, the potential health ramifications...

Plastic surgery, tattoos, teeth sharpening go back to the possible change in physical attraction that your partner has for you, but those things are all your choice...one would think for those types of situations though that often the conversation would likely have come up prior to marriage (that a desire existed) and so might not be something that is sprung on your partner out of the blue...however again, it's their choice ...

Sterilization...the issue of kids or more kids should be discussed prior to marriage, which would reduce the chance of sterilization being an issue...however sometimes people change their mind and end up not wanting kids (or more kids) even if they thought they did want them at some point...having kids really needs to be a mutual decision so if one does want and one does not, there are going to be issued whether one party gets "fixed" or not...that relationship may not last if they aren't in agreement on procreation...

Neutered...as in castrated? That's a guy's right but it would be a dealbreaker for me...if I want to be with someone and not have sex, I'll hang out with my friends or family...

Sex change...again, it's a person's right to do that...but it would end the marriage (for me)...if I married someone who all of the sudden decided he wanted to be a woman, I'd wish him well and we'd part ways (maybe stay friends)...a person should do what is right for them, and what would be right for me (if becoming female was right for him) would not include being married to a "former" man...

  40. QUESTION:
i almost want to cry, i hate my low weight.
I'm a little under 5'5 and I'm about 108 lbs. I'm flabby since I don't work out because I fear I could be even more flat chested if I did. I just found out I'm probably an AA and it breaks my heart. Afterall, breasts are mostly comprised of fat right? So therefore, I figured that if i don't workout I have a better chance of getting bigger breasts.

I feel like a scrawny boy and idk what to do. I want those womanly curves but I'm afaid if I work out, I'll just be more of a stick. And if I eat, I might just be a bloated stick.

For the first time in my life, I want to just eat as much as I can in saddness.

What do you think I should do about my weight? I want curves but I can't think of how I could get them without still resembling a stick (skinny flat chested stick vs. chubby stick)

I refuse to get breast augmentation surgery.

I also want to add that I'm asian. I've heard more guys tell me that I'm too skinny than that they think I'm fine. I usually associate skinniness with beauty (being dainty) but right now, I just feel at my wits ends.
People dont really pick up that i'm pretty insecure deep down inside. I'm never satisfied with myself.

    • ANSWER:
ok, working out will not get rid of ur breasts so get into shape, getting muscle will make you look less flabby and this sounds kinda weird, but to gain weight, you can drink a milkshake with grand ice cream and add a raw egg to it. i know that sounds weird, but i had a friend in the same situation as you and she gained about 15lbs over the summer so it works.

  41. QUESTION:
Are you a transgender who sued Medi-Cal for SRS or transition surgery and won?
I am a transgender person (male-to-female) and I am on Medi-Cal. My understanding from the Transgender law Center's information they provided is that Medi-Cal does not specify transgender-related surgery as "standard coverage," but do do not currently and never have had an exclusionary clause against covering it if a case can be made that the requested coverage is indeed medically necessary and a recomended treatment for Gender Identity Disorder.
The real problem is finding surgeons who will accept Medi-Cal, which pays out below market rate, for Sex Reassignment, Breast Augmentation, Tracheal Shave, Facial Feminization, etc. Finding a surgeon who will take the Medi-Cal benefits as payment is the first thing needed before suing Medi-Cal, since it is nearly unofficial routine for them to automatically deny ANY APPLICATIONS for coverage of ANY TYPE of surgical proceedure. Once you have a surgeon willing to take your Medi-Cal, you just take Medi-Cal to court over the denied claim, and it's pretty comon that your lawsuit will be won and Medi-Cal ordered by the court to cover your operation through your surgeon.

I have read many e-zines of such cases being won in court for their Sex Reassignment Surgery to be covered by Medi-Cal, however, the problem is that (for protection of their identity) their names have been changed in the PRINTED articles, so there is no way to contact these individuals. However, the bigger probelm (according to the Transgender Law Center San Francisco) is finding a surgeon who accepts Medi-Cal. However, it clearly goes without saying that, if those transgender people won their court cases for coverage of SRS through Medi-Cal, then clearly, they all found surgeons who willingly took the Medi-Cal for the surgery. After all, what good does it do to have Medi-Cal be ordered to pay for a surgery that you haven't found a doctor to perform?

    • ANSWER:
I knew someone who was a friend-of-a-friend of mine who sued Medi-Cal and won. She had her surgery, I believe, in 2000 (give or take a couple of years).

She unfortunately passed away about 2 years ago. From what I understand about her plight, her situation matched exactly what you described. She found a surgeon in the San Francisco area (not sure where, or with whom). So there are definitely surgeons who will do this (they probably just try to keep this fact under wraps as much as possible).

      Hope this helps.

      Good luck in your future

  42. QUESTION:
Would a lift or an augmentation with a lift be best?
I'm interested in breast surgery because my boobs are sagging and uncomfortable. I went for a consultation where I discussed a lift. After thinking about it and seeing various pictures online, I'm not sure a lift alone will give me the cleavage/volume up top that I am looking for. I like the way augmentations look but I'm about a 34C (possibly D) right now and don't want to go significantly bigger. Does anyone know if there is a really small implant I could get along with the lift? I want the look of an implant without going bigger. I also feel my boobs are pretty heavy so I'm not sure how long a lift alone would last.
Other than that, any recommendations for PS's in the MN area?
Oh, and if your just going to tell me to ask a surgeon or to check out a certain surgeon in India, don't bother replying!

    • ANSWER:
if you get breast implants or aesthetic surgery of any kind and anytime later in life you get breast cancer (1 in 9 chance) health insurance wont cover it. it costs more than 100,000 to treat breast cancer typically. you do the math

  43. QUESTION:
Other than surgery, what would you recommend?
For breast augmentation (enhancement) what do you know works? I've recently lost 5 lbs. apparently that was all breast and now I dont fill my bras as well and it shows. People keep asking me why I got a reduction... I didnt. So please. Any suggestions help. I was going to try activ-bust which I saw an ad for a year ago... but it appears they've gone out of business. And I'm a little sketchy on the breast gum... But I'm big into sports & exercise (part of why I was surprised. years of working out without this happening and now...) So again. any suggestions help. And Please, no mockery.
I'm only in my early 20s so there is no way the muscles have gone and I cant afford nor do I want surgery, but thank you.

    • ANSWER:
once the muscles that support your breast goes there is no way of getting it back. you can tone your breasts with exercise. also you could use uplift padded bras.

if you want breast surgery i would say go for it, surgeons are doing this op all the time & is very common. you need to find a good surgeon though. As long as its a one off op not going back and forward changing sizes like some celbs do.

part 1: so me and all my friends are all turning 18 this year. a particularly good friend is turning 18 next week. now a few days ago while out to lunch with some of my friends she told me shes gonna get breast implants. now she's one of those girls who are already a 9 but badly wants to be a 10. i dont plan on dating her but i think its a bad idea for her to drop thousands of dollars for a this especially when she might end up not liking them and when she already looks like a woman not a little girl if u get what i mean. so how do i talk her out of this without sounding like a pervert (im the only one shes told of her friends)

part 2: i remember reading in a medical journal somewhere about a new form of psychotherapy used for breast augmentation. basically the therapist helps u actually think u have larger breasts then u do and they actually grow in response without any surgery. its safer, cheaper, and no surgery is involved (continued in additional details)
the therapists have claimed to be able to turn an A cup into a C cup at half the price without going under the knife and half the price. ive been trying to find this on the internet but im having trouble so if any of you know where i can find a link to a website for a clinic that does this or at least some kind of article explaining this type of therapy so i can at least convince her to take that option instead of surgery itd be a big help

    • ANSWER:
Well, I personally don't believe that such a therapy exists. Of course, a therapist could make her understand that breast augmentation may provide some short term emotional satisfaction, but long term benefits, such as higher self esteem, is usually not manifested.

And, as a friend, I suggest that you should try to accept her decisions, rather than attempting to impose your will or your biases on her.

Of course, you can talk to her about the pros and the cons, if she wants to discuss them. But, it is her decision. Let her do what she wants.

    • ANSWER:
I really don't believe that theory about the psychotherapy. I always wanted implants because in school, the girls with bigger boobs got more attention but when i got mine finally, now almost a D cup, I almost wish they were a bit smaller. I think it would be good to tell her about how implants feel like soccer balls and while most men like to look at them, they don't want to fall asleep at night on soccer balls instead of pillows. Also, see if you can find something, a magazine or blog where men say that they prefer natural medium sized breasts. It's tough being a girl and always being compared to "bigger and better". Just keep telling her how beautiful she is.

  46. QUESTION:
Should I come out as a transsexual or not?
I have had a hard journey in life but I am now in a happy place. I always felt I should have been born a girl and had to become one. I had a very hard time at school, university and work even my family told me to drop out and find a new job.

Any way I reached my 2 goals in 1998. I qualified as a lawyer and I started to live full time as a woman. Since then I have been on hormones and had surgery (Facial and breast augmentation) although still currently remain pre-operative.

I like to consider myself pretty much 100% passable in that I work for a large company and nobody knows my past life. I also have dated a few guys who were unaware.

The issue I have is - One of my close friends is a journalist and she knows about my past. She wants to do an article about me and who I have gone from my no hope depressed school boy to successful female lawyer. She has also set up a tasteful photo shoot ie just me dressed in work clothes outside my work etc.

I so want to do this because I want to show young transsexuals that they can be a success and become the woman of their dreams. Without being full of myself but I want to try and be a positive roll model to hopefully inspire others to take the first step.

The down side is there are a lot of people both at work and in my social life that might see this and out me. I have had a long difficult journey and now just want a quiet life and enjoy being a woman.

Should I do this article or not?

    • ANSWER:
I would write up a list of pros and cons to doing this article, then tear the list up and listen to my heart.

You can be a positive role model without exposing yourself to possible retaliation from narrow minded people. Keep the facts in the story but change the names. I wouldn't think less of someone for doing that.

There are already a few good role models out there if you look for them. I think all the guys and girls on YouTube documenting their transitions are excellent role models for anyone and everyone.

  47. QUESTION:
should i talk to a doctor?
i don't know if i should take the time or the money to talk to a plastic surgeon about breast augmentation or not...
a 32b is too big on me.

some things that are influencing my decision are:
    - my younger sister & all of my friends are in c or d cups
    - i get teased for my lack of chest
    - i have a lot of trouble buying shirts that fit right
    - it's really uncomfortable having to buy bras that fit in the kids department

    on the other hand...
    - my boyfriend, that i've been with for a couple of years, says that i'm perfect the way i am
    - i can run and jump without back pain, etc.
    - surgery is really expensive, and there are risks involved
    - i'm not sure if i'm done growing
    - they'll get bigger whenever i have kids anyways
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • ANSWER:
*it is not the quantity that matters' its the quality that really matter
*Seriously men dont really matter what size it is
*more over having a artificial implant inside can cause a lot of problems
*large ones are prone to get back pain and implant rejection
*and your boyfriend is satisfied with what u are
      *so whats the worry about?

  48. QUESTION:
Why is this stupid thing bothering me so much?
My friend got plastic surgery..and she doesn't look like her. I've known her for my entire life...and her entire attitude changed after she had the surgery. She got a breast augmentation, rhinoplasty(sp?) and cologen(sp?) on her lips. She was sort of flat-chested I guess but now she wears a DD. Her face looks different since she has big lips and a small nose. She wanted it for self-esteem stuff but I think she wanted more attention from men. She has all the wrong attention all the time and I get disgusted by it.

So why is this bothering me? It's not my body...and I can't even look at her without getting disgusted.

And I told my other friend ...who is a girl and she said I won't understand because I am a guy.

    • ANSWER:
Sounds like she puts a lot of value on appearances. Is it possible that she seems shallow? I would give her a chance to remain your friend and try treating her as you always have, but don't be too disappointed if her personality has transformed also. People do change and grow apart at times. You may have to be mature enough to let her go.

  49. QUESTION:
LGBT community I need some advice cause I don't know the answers?
So let me start off by first saying for the record I am gay and have been publicly out since I was 16 now 2 to 3 months ago I met a guy online actually. We started talking and due to me having a feminine face he like others automatically assume that I am tg or ts or somehow gonna start the process.. So we started talking about all that and I gave him my revues and so on. He than stated that he knew that he never wanted to get rid of his penis but he did want breast and to maybe be recognized as a female... Now when he stated maybe I than quickly told him that he needed to start therapy with a dr. and discuss these terms and decision that will ultimately affect the rest of his life.. But than he asked me if someone being male can just go and have breast augmentation done.. I told him I had no clue, He said he would like to have some surgeries done like hair removal brow bone smoothing ( i don't know Technical terms) and other various surgeries to take the male part of him away but without doing hormone treatments due to it affecting the penis... Now I have no clue about many of these things.. I told him over and over he need to see a shrink but he is hard headed.. My ?? is can someone being male just go and have breast done without a therapist approval... Or do they have to go through a phsyc. test and all that... Just curious.. hope this was enough info... I always get told to give more info.. SO there ya go.. thanks LGBT community

    • ANSWER:
I agree with you, this person needs to see a gender therapist:

      http://www.DrBecky.com/therapists.html

I'm not sure if they are a transsexual in denial or just a cross-dresser acting out a fantasy, but the therapist should be able to figure it out.

  50. QUESTION:
    Question about abortion...?
How come people who try to commit suicide can be deemed a danger to themselves and committed for safety but a woman can still abort her fetus legally? If you want to argue that a woman has the right to do whatever they want with their body shouldnt a woman who has suicidal tendencies not be stopped then...? I guess you could argue that it would be like any other surgery a woman has, like breast augmentation, but an abortion is getting rid of a living part of the body. You couldnt just walk in off the street and have a doctor cut a living part of your body off, like an arm without medical necessity like it causing your body some kind of harm like a tumor so why is it considered any different? Or if it is okay then like I said anyone who is a danger to themselves should not be committed? Doesnt it seem a little hypocritical or am I wrong?

    • ANSWER:
On the contrary, I think the logic you're looking at is correct. To take another tact, why can't women kill their husbands in the privacy of their own homes? Logically, privacy extends only so far as another's inalienable rights. Why can't they use their voices to scream fire in a crowded building? It's their body, why can't they harm whoever they want?
