Over 12 million cosmetic plastic surgery procedures are performed each year in the United States. While striving for perfection drives this trend, most doctors advise patients to look within themselves and not in a mirror to make an informed decision when it comes to electing to have cosmetic surgery.
Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon can assist you in setting realistic goals and expectations for your proposed procedure. Endoscopic surgery is the most advanced method used, offering minimal scarring and quicker recovery times.
What is Endoscopic Plastic Surgery?
An endoscope is an instrument made up of essentially two parts. A tiny camera with a bright light on the end of a long tube and a television monitor, which displays a magnified image of what the camera sees. The surgeon performs the surgery while manipulating the endoscope and watching the monitor. Instead of the big incisions used in traditional surgical procedures of the past, only a small incision, less than an inch long is required in endoscopic surgery.
Advantages of Endoscopic Plastic Surgery
Quicker recovery time
Bleeding, bruising and swelling may be significantly reduced
May be performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia
Transumbilical/Transaxillary Endoscopic Breast Augmentation
Endoscopic breast augmentation is one of the most common procedures performed in cosmetic surgery in the United States. It is a state-of-the-art technique for breast enlargement. Tansumbilical breast augmentation (TUBA) is performed by making an incision in the navel, in the depths of your bellybutton. This allows the surgeon to insert implants without leaving a scar on your body. In essence the scar becomes part of your navel and is therefore, undetectable. In the transaxillary (underarm) method the incision is made in the natural fold of the underarm area and is invisible even with the arm raised. The endoscope allows relatively easy access to the breast without damaging sensitive skin on the surface.
Endoscopic breast augmentation using the transumbilical or transaxillary method involves less time, money and stress then traditional cosmetic surgery methods. It is quicker and involves less risk of complications. There is less bleeding and swelling and fewer stitches. The recovery time is shorter because of this.

QUESTION:
I'm considering breast augmentation. How much does this usually cost? ( in Dallas, TX area).?
Can you finance breast augmentation?-
ANSWER:
i worked for area plastic surgeons in dallas for 13 years.. you wlil pay about anywhere from 600-1000 for the implants, the anesthesia can run up to 1000 especially if you use a anesthesiologist and NOt a crna ( one is a doc one is a nurse) and the facility cost can be up to 1000 plus the docs fee depending on the doc which could be up to 4000 so it would be anywhere from 3500-7000 dollars and you really want a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just a doctor who decided to do cosmetic surgery. Here is the doctor i am recommending for you
www.drhackney.net ... he is in dallas and has a good reputation and does excellent work and i think he might still do free consultations ( i moved to illinois and do not work for him anymore but highly recommend him)
Oh and yes you can finance your augmentation or use a special plastic surgery credit card called care credit

QUESTION:
Should I go to Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or Portland, Oregon for breast augmentation?
Have an option of all 4 cities, just don't know where to go???-
ANSWER:
Lori-
I am a plastic surgeon in Houston and can say that all of these cities have fine plastic surgeons. It is not the city, is the doctor. Do your research and pick a doctor certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery that has a practice primarily devoted to cosmetic surgery. Schedule a consultation, ask plenty of questions, and ask to see before and after photos. If the doctor pawns you off to a "Coordinator" without giving you any face to face time him/herself- move on. Be comfortable with your doctor and their staff- you will be spending a bit of time together after the surgery.
I hope this helps.

QUESTION:
Any recommendations on a Doctor for Breast Implants?
I live in the Dallas Tx. area and I have already found a cosmetic surgeon, Im getting a Breast Augmentation. Only problem is I would like to hear of any other Doctors in the area that you would recommend having done great work. Please let me know..-
ANSWER:
I don't live in the area, but make sure you do your research on Cosmetic Surgeons. I went online and did background checks and visited a couple for the consultation before I chose one. My surgeon spent 1-1/2 hrs. talking to me and telling me what my options where. I also had to get a lot of medical tests done to make sure I wouldn't have any reactions later with implants. Good Luck!

Does anyone know how "Doctors say Yes" works? What was your experience? Are you glad you used them? Would your do it again? What would you do differently if you could.I want (NEED) a tummy tuck and breast lift/augmentation.
