     There are many good, qualified plastic surgeons in the Atlanta area. The best way to find out is to start talking to people in the Atlanta area and also do some research on the internet. Type in Atlanta plastic surgeons into your web browser and you can find a ton of information. This is a great place to begin your search.

     Look for experienced doctors with the necessary credentials, certifications and experience. Ask for referrals and speak to their clients. The Atlanta market is very competitive so you should find whatever you need at a reasonable cost.

     I have fake boobs and I love them. They look and feel surprisingly natural.My husband likes the way the feel better than real breasts because they are not saggy or too soft. So many people that answer questions about implants are ignorant and don't know anything about them but still feel the need to answer.(Yes there can be complications..yes its a risk... but so are a lot of things in life. I got mine through my armpits..you cant even tell there are scars and no one sees your armpits) and the % of anything happening is really low.If you want them to look as natural as possible get them under the muscle and not too big. They aren't cheap! If I would have been your size I would never have got them but I was flaaat. Men really don't care about fake breasts even if they say they do..they sure stare once you get them. I am married and got my implants for me only. Do your research if you are serious about getting them.

      never go cheap on a medical procedure, there are too many complications to go on when cheap routes are taken, if you cant afford to spend adequate money on this procedure. Ending up with blood poisoning and two mismatched breasts is far worse than having small breasts. spend money trying to address your lack of confidence in your chest size.

    Knowing that millions of women are dying from breast cancer every year, knowing that almost all newborns are fed with bottle milk, knowing that new breast implants are safe and affordable, I think

      Robotic vision would be the first and sonic hearing.

    My friend is considering getting breast implants. Her husband active duty military ( Air Force). It doesn't look like the military will pay for her breast implants, but is it possible that she can get a lower rate? I guess if her hubby wanted some form of cosmetic surgery it would be paid for, but she doesn't think look like she would be covered. Couldn't she just go to a base doctor and pay a lower rate for the procedure?
    I'm asking because, if she can find an affordable way to get the implants, we're getting them together!

    The military does pay for cosmetic surgery for active duty members, so if you're peeved by that fact, take it up with someone else.
    And I will be getting my new boobs regardless, it's my friend that may need to come up with a different outlet.

      The military will only pay for one cosmetic surgery for an active duty person (and I'm sorry..but for the crap, low pay and sub-standard living..I think we active duty folks deserve something extra..we pay as much in taxes as everyone else..so technically, we'd be paying for our own surgeries!) and even for active duty, it's not free. We still have to pay for the actual implants.
      Unfortunately, in your friend's case (and yours), the cheaper rate doesn't extend to a spouse. After doing my homework before my surgery, I decided that I was better off finding a civilian doctor to do it. The cheaper rate comes at a cost...a long waiting list and more often than not, shabby work.

      YES YOU CAN GET ELECTIVE SURGERIES THROUGH THE MILITARY!! THAT IS NOT WHAT SHE'S ASKING..SHE'S ASKING ABOUT SPOUSES GETTING THEM..
      But with the war right now, SPOUSES can't get elective surgeries and the waiting list for active duty breast augmentation is maxed at out 2 years...I just went through this whole issue within the last 6 months..personally.

    do you think the cost of fat grafting (for breasts) will go down in the next few years?
    i've heard there is a rising alternative for breast implants that involves taking fat from another part of your body and putting it into your breasts, making them a l little fuller but still using a natural material. not only do i like the idea of using fat as opposed to plastic...but i believe it's more fitting for the type of enhancement i'm going for. which is not an increase in cup size so much as a filler to fill in a small portion of loose skin and result in a small lift as well. because it seems to require fat grafting it is VERY expensive....though once they've perfected the operation, i imagine a LOT of women will be going after THIS procedure instead of implants, so they'll have to make it affordable right? anyone have any opinions on this?

      i think its unlikely to be honest. it will be in fact the opposite at first, because they will need money for tests, new equipment etc etc and not many people will be doing it. its only when its starts to become popular that the price might go down, or they may keep it the same to make money, or to buy equipment needed, hire doctors etc, if its that popular they will need supplies.

      i mean, if you think about it the cost for implants has never really gone down, so i doubt this will either. if it does, im thinking 10 years ahead or more.

      dont forget it will take time to perfect the operation anyway, and for women to trust it and go for it. at least a few years.

    Does anyone besides myself think that hair transplant surgery should be covered by health insurance?
    I am a 24 year old male suffering from rapid male-pattern hair loss.

    My hair started falling out somewhere between ages 18-20, and despite always having a lot of heart, will-power, and self-confidence, it has been a very freightening and depressing road.

    It has come to the point where I can't leave my house without wearing a hat. In fact, even at home I wear a hat if any of my family or friends are around.

    Basically, I find it very disappointing that 'genetic' hair loss is one of the least prioritised and most underfunded medical 'mysteries' out there. I find it even more disappoiting that most of the supposed 'treatments' on the market are complete scams, and that the few that are legitimate such as full-out hair tranplantation are so damned expensive!

    And of course... worst of all, it is most disappointing that hair transplant surgery itself isn't covered by insurance because of its 'cosmetic' benefits.

    Sure, any surgery that changes the way you look can be considered a "cosmetic" surgery. Like a paint job on a car! And of course, no car insurance provider is going to dish out money for you to get your car repainted, simply because you decided you wanted to try out a new color... but when the little old lady who bought way too many groceries and suffers from arthritis rockets her shopping cart into your car, isn't your insurance provider right there to help you get it fixed?

    That's a little bit of an imaginitive analogy but, I mean, it's not exactly like I wanted my hair to fall out!

    And sure, if someone like me could argue that hair transplant surgery shouldn't be considered a "cosmetic" surgery, and/or should be at the very least, partially covered by my health insurance... than that's to say the same about ANY self-improving surgery right?

    Well... not really... because when it comes to hair transplants, you're dealing with an entirely different level of self-improvement.

    For instance, breast implants. Just like penile implants/enhancements, pectoral implants, or botox, you're talking about "improving" or ADDING something that never existed in the first place. You're literally adding objects(made up of various plastics, and chemicals) to your body simply because you didn't like the way your body developed.

    Let's face it, this is America... land of the free, home of the greedy. Everyone 'wants' the next best thing... and everyone wants to look better, thinner, cooler, stronger... etc. than everyone else. Right? And if we feel that maybe nature was wrong, and we should have been made well-endowed we can all simply throw thousands of dollars into plastic surgery! (Yay!)

    But ...on the contrary... hair-loss sufferers all "used to" have a full head of hair. Every single person, with the exception of those with rare diseases are born with a healthy, growing, full head of hair. And if we grow up, and we don't like the way it looks... thank god for hair salons and hairspray!

    But trust me, it's a very dramatic and disgustful realization that you're losing one of your best features. Especially for someone like me, who never wants more than he has... and always loved his natural face, body, and soul...

    But now I'm a 24 year old male suffering from rapid male pattern hair loss. Now I want, not what I don't have, but what I used to have... what I feel that I should... have... a full head of hair.

    To me, hair loss isn't "natural" ... if it were, we'd ALL lose our hair in our early 20's. "Genetics", they say... but you know what else is a genetic predisposition? Diabetes... Thyroid Conditions... Heart Disease... Cancers...

    I do not want to be completely bald and helpless by age 30. Either they need to find a CURE for male pattern baldness, OR they need to make hair transplant surgeries ACTUALLY affordable(or covered by insurance, obviously).

    Side note: I'm tired of hearing all about how bald men are sexy!

    We're all entitled to our opinions... but I'm not one of those people who just goes "Well, at least shaving my head would be in style!" *buzz*

    I used to have beautiful, thick golden brown hair... not only did it go with my personality, but it covered up my naturally bumpy skull!

    "Some" men can pull off a shaved head... and typically the ones that do... actually have a full head of hair. If they wanted to, they could not shave it, and it would all grow in evenly, over their entire scalp...

    If I shaved my head, and waited a few days, it would come back in all patchy and gross looking...

    When it comes down to it, this isn't a matter of trying to make sure I'm in-style... this is me wanting to hold onto one of my few great natural born physical features.

    And I'm not comparing Hair Loss with terminal diseases. Health insurance typically covers treatment for those, as it should...

      year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

      1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

      2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

      3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

      4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

      5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed
      It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

    what is the cost of snap on dentures in 2010?
    This is a heartbreaking story about my 20 yr old son. My son was born with an immature digestive tract. He was born at 9lbs, 2 oz, (1989) and didn't thrive even though he was breast fed. He screamed incessantly. It took almost 2 yrs before he was diagnosed with an immature digestive tract. He had no hair or teeth until he was almost 3. After many months on strictly rice milk, bananas and vitamins, he finally started looking normal. He was delayed in every aspect. Didn't walk until 2 yrs 3 mos. In 1994, he and I were in a nearly fatal car crash. My GI tract was severed and my son suffered a severe brain injury which took years of rehabilitation. The fact that we survived was completely miraculous, but it did not come without years of agony, trauma, and finally outplacement for 18 months. Today, by God's good grace, he is completely functional. His teeth, however, are completely destroyed. Last week he lost a front tooth and looks hideous, despite his handsome features. He is nearly 5'9" and weighs 124 lbs. He can't chew anything and drinks Ensure and eats soft food. I work full time and have all along, but his father deserted us (in favor of alcohol) many years ago.

    I took him to a dental practice last week to see what the options are and none of them are very good or realistic. Regular dentures would promote severe bone loss at his age and the price I got for the "snap on" option with 6 implants per arch - was ,000. That's what I make in one year and the mortgage eats up quite a bit of that. I looked into financing and all they have available is a "Care" card that is a one year, no interest card that needs to be paid in full in one year!!!

    My heart breaks every time I look at him. I'm worried that the fighting spirit that got him through all of the trauma in his life will dwindle as I see him sinking into a deep and hopeless depression. He is eating even less now.

    I asked the dentist about medical insurance paying some of this hefty bill and was told that they wouldn't take it anyway because the reimbursements wouldn't be enough and they "don't want to work for that little money".

    Please somebody point me in the direction of someone that can help me. I live in Connecticut but can travel to anywhere in the northeast or mid Atlantic, or ANYwhere, for that matter if there is someone out there willing to take affordable payments from me.

      no tri-care does not pay for cosmetic surgeries. All cosmetic surgeries are paid out of pocket. The only thing they would cover is to repair something like a broken tooth (if you have dental). But nothing like that at all.
